The TRS 80 I used did the same thing. My Commodore 64 was also plugged into the TV. But I had to wait a few months before I could purchase the floppy disk drive for the Commodore 64! Yep a computer with no hard drive and disk drive! I would program a game into it in basic and then pray that a power outage wouldn't hit while I was playing. When I was done with the game, I just turned off the computer and it was completely gone. I cherished my disk drive when I finally bought it!
