The TRS 80 I used did the same thing. My Commodore 64 was also plugged into the TV. But I had to wait a few months before I could purchase the floppy disk drive for the Commodore 64! Yep a computer with no hard drive and disk drive! I would program a game into it in basic and then pray that a power outage wouldn't hit while I was playing. When I was done with the game, I just turned off the computer and it was completely gone. I cherished my disk drive when I finally bought it!

DrHug will have a lot of fun talking to you about this stuff. He built our first "real" computer from surplus parts. He was so happy when he turned it on and it worked!! ;) :rotfl:

I have never tried it either but Jon's aunt brought him some from Cuba as well so he'll have one ever now and then and it doesn't bother me. But he does hide from the kids so it is anywhere near the house.

DrHug and I do enjoy an occasional cigar with our cognac! :thumbsup2 Everything in moderation!

COOL! Thanks for doing this Deb! :yay:

My 18-year-old nephew smokes, which just kills me. Nowadays you would think kids would know better. Once you start, it is sooooo hard to quit. Thankfully, I never started because I don't even have the will power to lose 10 pounds much less do something as difficult as quitting smoking. All of you who have managed to quit smoking, I applaud you.

When I was little I would hang my clothes outside and get dressed out there because my parents smoked and I didn't want to smell. I knew I would never smoke. It was really hard for my parents to stop.

DH just finished changing our flight times and it took him an hour & a half on the phone. We originally booked on Orbitz, which put us on Northwest to Orlando and on Continental for the return from Los Angeles. Well, Continental cancelled our original flight and put us on one leaving LA at 8:00 am. Ummmm, that won't work folks. They didn't even notify us of the change. I guess we would have found out when we checked in for our flight on May 9 or maybe when we missed our flight home. :scared1: We only found out about the change by accident when DH was checking on another flight for work. He went round and round with first Orbitz, then Northwest, then Continental, and 90 short minutes later we have a flight home.

With all the recent airline bankruptcies, cancelled flights, etc. I'll be breathing easier when we finally arrive in Orlando.

ugh, this headache won't quit.....!
Has John posted lately? I hate to call and bother them...hope all is well.

Hey speaking of all of these conversations, do you guys remember candy cigarettes. Those were cool.

I just recently had some candy cigarettes. We have a great candy store near us which sells a lot of the old fashioned penny candy. Of course it isn't a penny anymore!:rotfl: If this OG can remember I will try to bring some penny candy to the OG meet.

There is a candy store at the port of LA and it has them as well.

Is there any particular UK chocolate or candy that is your favourite, that we could bring some for you? (I won't tell anyone, so you don't have to share!)
we like Bendick's butter cream and crispy chocolate covered mints!

how about advil and a wine?

these camcorders that use DVD's I am assuming they aren't the actual size DVD's right? How do you convert them?

My only concern is that if you are wanting the webcam to be able to read it, 1 foot high may not be big enough for the web cam to pick up from that far away. The sign I made for the PC cruise in 2005 was 3 feet in height.

I REALLY think we need a sign! I can find some not tearing white plastic, buy some green or blue paint and foam brushes, and we can have a sign! I ordered one from Windy City Novelties to hang off my balcony at the back of the ship.
