Is there any particular UK chocolate or candy that is your favourite, that we could bring some for you? (I won't tell anyone, so you don't have to share!)

Well I work for M&S, anyone want sweets from my work? Let me know okay.

It is hot here and I was trying not to turn the air on but no luck today!. Tea sounds good but a cold glass of champagne sounds better. To bad I don't have any, well not any that I would drink on a Thursday afternoon, by myself!

Can I join with you?:thumbsup2 Glass of Champagne - ohhhhh lovely!!

I have a bottle of champagne and will invite friends next week Sat 26 April while Ian is away to England so I have champagne and nibbles.:cool1:

Are nibbles the same as appetizers or is it a certain food? You can join me in spirit and then we'll toast together on the ship!

On my last cruise (the one I did solo) - I spent alot of the day in Nassau outside of the Cove Cafe and there was someone there smoking a cigar (ugh).

Sorry, but I'm allergic to smoke

So is Shannon (allergic) and I can't stand the smell. If there is smoking there we will just go someplace else. We actually stopped going to alot of pubs and restuarants because they allowed smoking. Now the law is you can't smoke in public buildings and there is a new law saying that you can't smoke within 3 metres of an entranceway. Prior to that you had to go through a thick cloud of smoke to get into any building as all the smokers would congregate right outside the doorway - particularly in the winter or inclement weather.

DrHug's first computer was one that you hooked to the TV and ran with a tape recorder. :confused3 He also has always been interested in them as a hobby.

The TRS 80 I used did the same thing. My Commodore 64 was also plugged into the TV. But I had to wait a few months before I could purchase the floppy disk drive for the Commodore 64! Yep a computer with no hard drive and disk drive! I would program a game into it in basic and then pray that a power outage wouldn't hit while I was playing. When I was done with the game, I just turned off the computer and it was completely gone. I cherished my disk drive when I finally bought it!

I can't even remember when we could smoke inside a restaurant. I must have been a child. When we go to Vegas they ask if we want smoking or non-smoking and it is weird. I can't see why anyone would start smoking anymore, it is socially unacceptable, at least it is here. They have DARE at school, which is an anti drug class and every time Ethan sees someone smoking he tells them that it will kill them. It is a little embarrassing but I hope he keeps that mentality. Oh and Jon will have a cigar every now and then and he has to hide from the kids!

So kind of you to ask.

About 22 Kg assortment of Roses, Quality Street and Black Magic if you please.

(I checked 22 Kg is a little under 50 lbs).
:lmao:

My Dad just got back from Cuba and brought back a few packages of Cuban cigars. He gave me a few and I promptly gave them back. Just can't do it. I figured he might as well keep them or give them to someone who appreciates them - which isn't me. And I grew up in a house where my Dad smoked a pipe, my smoked, my sister ended up smoking. My Grandmother smoked like a chimney and my aunt smoked. I never touched one. Never have and never will. I always used being involved in soccer and football as excuses not to.

Do you think they can deliver a lump of coal for Sukie? Or, whole a traditional coal assortment be better?

Is that for luck?? As for Scotland - In New Year Day, if people bring lump of coal mean lucky.

Ian, Guess what, yesterday I saw black Smart Car. And it remind me of you:thumbsup2 I was looking at it - beautiful - lucky no alarm off.:rotfl:

I have never tried it either but Jon's aunt brought him some from Cuba as well so he'll have one ever now and then and it doesn't bother me. But he does hide from the kids so it is anywhere near the house.

Deb - here, Santa Claus bring naughty children a lump of coal and no gifts.

I was at the Smart Car dealer today to have something installed in the car. I was one of 4 yellow Smart cars waiting to be service. It was sort of funny.
