Just signing on after attending the Sharks game...guess there was no flame tonight!

The flames done got doused.

Looks like it took all the Flames could muster to come from behind in that one game and now it appears to be all downhill.

For the record, TSN (our national sports channel like ESPN) did an EA Sports NHL 07-08 mock Stanley Cup finals on the Xbox to see if they could predict a winner. San Jose ended up winning the Cup against the Montreal Canadiens.

Sorry to hear about your Mom, my Dad also died of throat cancer so there are no smokers next door to you in 7610.

Ann

Let's hope for the same for 7612, 14 and 18! We are in 7616 and we don't smoke either.

Important Change:
Onboard Smoking Policy
For the comfort and enjoyment of our Guests, Disney Magic and Disney Wonder have been primarily designated as non-smoking ships. However, it is recognized that some Guests smoke, therefore we have designated smoking areas which include many of the lounges, portions of open-air decks, and private verandahs.

Effective with the Disney Magic 4/19 and the Disney Wonder 4/20 sailings, an important change regarding these designated smoking areas is going into effect.

Smoking is no longer permitted on the port side of the ship, instead Guests are permitted to smoke on the starboard side, on decks 4, 9, & 10 (outside only and excluding all areas around Mickey's Pool)
Smoking is no longer permitted outside Cove Cafe (as it is on the port side)
A comparable area with tables & chairs will be available to Guests opposite the location of Cove Cafe (starboard side)
Smoking is no longer permitted in ANY indoor venue, such as Cadillac Lounge, Diversions, etc.
Below is a recap of the onboard smoking policy:

Smoking Permitted

Decks 4, 9, & 10 starboard side (outdoors only and excluding all areas around Mickey's Pool)
Deck 9 midship - starboard side - An area with the same types of tables & chairs that can be found around Cove Cafe
Guest's private verandah (Cats 1-7)

Smoking NOT Permitted
All staterooms
Dining rooms, corridors, theatres, children's spaces, or ANY indoor venue (i.e., Cadillac Lounge, Sessions, Rockin' Bar D', Wavebands, etc.)

Outside Cove Cafe
Mickey's Pool
Decks 4, 9, and 10 port side of the ship (outdoors only and excluding all areas around Mickey's Pool)

:thumbsup2 :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

Thanks Connie and Vicky.:thumbsup2 I might be asking around to see if anyone would like to exchange their blonde ones for my brown.

Marilyn,

I would be willing to trade with you. My hair is dark so the blond would rather stick out. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

I'm so hoping our neighbours are non smoking too. Last cruise, fortunately only a 4 day one, we had a chain smoking lady with a dreadful cough next to us. I could smell the smoke as soon as I went in the cabin just from John quickly opening and closing the doors to the verandah. She coughed her guts up much of the time too poor thing.

We are also on the starboard side so will have more smoke wafting up from Deck 4!!

Having said that I do feel the teeniest bit sorry for the smokers, but I do hate it.

Did they just switch sides of the ship that you can smoke on or what is the difference? I know in 2006 you could only smoke on one side but I don't remember which.

Morning all,

This is a continuation of my rant against Air Canada....

I just checked my flight again and noticed that thay switched aircraft for the last part of our journey home. It is only an hour flight from Toronto to Ottawa. I verified our seats and noticed that we had been shifted to the middle three seats in a 2-3-2 row.....not bad

Then I noticed that there was a gap in front of us and a gap behind....not bad I thought...more legroom, and I rationalized it by thinking we are between the two emergency exits....ahhhhh legroom

This morning I wanted to check something else and sinc I did not have my aeroplan number, I could not open my reservation, so I looked at the flight and looked at the seats available....ours was not shown at all...just this huge gap....what's going on???

I then checked the layout of the plane and noticed that the gap is the planes galley...soooooo we are slotted in the walkway....:confused3

I guess i will be changing my seats tonight when I get home....

what is going on here....am I cursed or what:lmao:

Just got home. Had to fly to Vancouver yesterday and then back home this morning.

Took .... wait for it Bruce....

AIR CANADA. :lmao: :rotfl:

Had no problems whatsoever. Flight to Vancouver was completely full, flight home had a few empty seats. Got the seats I wanted no problems. Had great customer service on both legs. Ticket agent in PG even printed out my boarding pass for the return flight from Vancouver so I wouldn't have to queue up at YVR!

The only snag was they changed my departure gate for the return trip - but I was smart enough to check the board as soon as I got into YVR so it wasn't a problem! In fact the gate they moved me to was MUCH less of a walk!

Oh yeah, and no nuts were given out on the flight home. We got Chocolate chip cookies instead. However, there was the warning on the package that they may contain trace amounts of peanuts and tree nut residues...

Otherwise it was a great flight. Except it was cold and rainy in Vancouver when I left and it was downright freezing up here when I got home!

Bruce, either I don't want to ever fly with you - or maybe you should fly with me and see if my luck rubs off!!

There's a cat 6 avail along w/ that cat 4
DH and I were so excited called DCL and the cat6 only sleeps 3 and we are a family of four:sad2:
No knock on the door in the middle of the night! I will see if I get anymore calls today.
I never thought of the Gator orange but Auburn orange is ok. Maybe they will do my prison # in navy!
:rotfl2:

Goodmorning all, had a great day of teaching little kids yesterday. Here is a long song that will make you swing through the hallways today:

Linda:

I guess it was conclued that we will pay for our scrap stuff on board. I don't remember, but perhaps it would be good to post the list, so that some of us (ok, me) can remember how much to bring for you... I think I remember, but it would be nice to have it ready to go.:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

I am going to get to it no later than Sunday. I will PM everyone with the details and they can either paypal me or send me a check, whichever works better.

I will also include what you need to remember to bring.

If I can get to it before Sunday, I will. But if I'm not getting Jamie's party together, I hope to be at Scrapbook USA Expo between tonight (later) and Saturday til 6 p.m. to find those last little things for everyone's books.

back to catching up...I'm reading backwards so missed tonz!

my DK had field day today at school and my DS fell face first and scraped his chin and knee then towards the end my DD got dehydrated, threw up, and almost passed out so instead of it being a kodak moment I was at the nurses first with one and then the other child:sad2: At least its not as hot as it can get out here its almost 90 so a little warm with them running around and stuff.

...back to catching up....

Linda, have you heard from the Panama Canal pilot who used to post on here and you got to know last repo?

I wonder if he is piloting our ship again.

I don't know if this has been posted before, but it's a must read for those considering checking your luggage curbside and hoping they don't measure it as strictly...

Curbing curbside fees

For curb side baggage checking on Delta flights, Delta charges $3 a bag plus a tip for the skycap.

For curb side baggage checking on American Airlines, United Airlines, Northwest Airlines and US Airways it's $2 a bag plus a skycap tip.

Note that most of these fees can be paid by cash only. :guilty:

Oh, and remember those pesky extra fees for more than 1 bag? Nobody at the airlines knows exactly how you will be able to pay for those. Some say cash, check and credit card, only that varies between who you ask. :scared1:

Let's all remember to have fun out there!
