We're beginning to think about next year's 40th wedding anniversary trip.

John would very much like to do a train journey accross Canada, which we would link in with many other places to visit.

Have any of you been on one of these epic rail journeys?

No railway tour for us, but one of my favorite vacations was at Lake Louise. The Canadian Rockies are beautiful.

OK....way too many pages last night....can someone just tell me if any cruise business was discussed? If so, I'll go back and seek it out. Otherwise....sure wish they'd fix the chat rooms so we could socialize in real time.


So here's a question of the day: What onboard/ship activities are you most looking forward to?

I want to do the behind the scenes at the Walt Theater 'tour'. I've missed that every cruise so far. I also want to do the various "Art of Entertaining" events. I don't think I'll be doing any of the 'tastings' as I have plent of social drining planned already!

Guess jeans with the zippers at the ankles!

I remember shopping at Macys and buying Guess jeans by the dozens. They were all kinds of great acid wash colors and you could buy a jean jacket to match them. I also had all the tshirts and even the book bags in all the colors.

When I was in junior high I had sooo many pairs of those.

33s, 78s and 45s.....and you used to have to put that adapter thingy in the hole in the record in order for it to fit on the record player.....now that's ancient!

8 tracks were the hot item when I got my driver's license.

Then we went to cassettes and had walkmans.

My how we have evolved!

That's when it was HI-FI's instead of STEREO!!!

OH I LOVE Dark Shadows.....they have a website and a fan base too. I just finished watching the whole thing from beginning to end a couple of years ago when it was on the Sci Fi channel. I finally saw Barnabas end up with Angelique in the end. Ah, true love! Definitely a favorite.

I loved Man from UNCLE too. I have not seen it in years though.

still have the gunne sax(3 or 4), I'm saving it for Molly for a throw back to the 80's day, I might need to pack it for the cruise for her, hmmm?

Maybe one day before the cruise I will have to make a shopping day at the Gunne Sax/McClintock outlet. They still have the one in SF it is open til 5pm everyday.
