Saw him in concert....forget his name though (the one that sings that song).

My first concert...probably was John Denver, but I will have to call my parents to double check. Bruce was great last night. I went with my sister and we got to thinking how cool my parents were taking all 6 of us to so many concerts. Mind you "cool" was Barry Manilow, John Denver, Air Supply...saw all of them MANY times. Trying to think of others but names are escaping me.

I can't believe how soon this cruise is coming. My dining room table is has stacks all over it. I am going to go through the kids clothes again today to pick out there special clothes. I think I am just about done buying clothes...I'm bummed they won't have brand new outfits every day (as I usually try to do with vacations) but 15 days! That would be a whole new wardrobe.

We are having the laundry debate - whether to bring enough clothes to cover all days or plan on doing laundry. I know we all have talked about this a lot. For me, I don't do laundry at home so not sure why I would want to do it on vacation. I HATE laundry. Everything about it. Not sure why...maybe some traumatic childhood thing...or maybe just plain lazy.

Anyway, figure I'd rather bring extra clothes and bring all the laundry home to get washed. Anyone else avoiding the laundry room?

I feel a bit silly having 100 pins now. Not sure what the kids will do with them all. Obviously they all can't fit on their lanyard. Do you think they will be giving out Castaway Club lanyards? We could have some "dummy" ones that are just used for trading. How is everyone else handling the extra pins they bought from Mousepinsonline (or something like that)?

Is anyone going to allow their children to swim in the goofy pool without them there? My 10 year old is really pushing to allow him and his brother (8) to be able to go to the Goofy pool as one of their areas they can go to together. DH and I are not going for it right now.

I am going to really try to catch up now. Miss my DISing!
Lisa

I'm going to pack for a weeks vacation, plus pirate costumes for the kids, mexican outfits, formals and wigs. I am hoping Jon and I can wear our clothes twice or at least our pants twice. So maybe like a load or two and that is it, hopefully. I have a five and an eight year old so I would say no for the Mickey pool but I could have done it at 10 so it depends on your kid.

Don McLean wrote and sang American Pie. I went to his concert a few years ago, and really enjoyed it.

Anyone remember his album cover with the (American, U.S., U.S.A.) flag painted on his thumb? Not the whole flag, just some stars and stripes.

CRUISE BUSINESS:

I wanted to re-post this in case folks didn't read last nights pages:

IAN, is this your finalized version....can we go ahead and order?

I can't decide about color...lime green is the 'team' color, but I think I'll look at all the options. :thumbsup2

V, loved the pictures you posted in the wee hours of the morning.

Still have a block of pages I haven't look at yet.
Thanks so much for reposting! I love the t-shirts. Thanks Ian!

Bringing up the Mickey pool...that might be a good compromise for my boys (10 & 8). Maybe they can do the Mickey pool...and not the Goofy (since I don't believe there is a lifeguard for the Goofy pool).

Oh, wait, you could send them directly to me AT the Hyatt....duh.
I'll be back later tonight.....

Let me know what you need me to do, and it's done :thumbsup2

as to the laundry - I will wash one or two loads of undies but the rest will be sent out to the laundry service - it is already in the budget. Since we can each only take one suitcase plus what I mail I will have to see how this all works out. We may have to do laundry more.

Did you say Goofy. See I am tired and really, I don't know the difference!

Time to take the kids swimming. Back after awhile. I also have to kick Shannon's butt into getting the girl's dresses started that she wants to make and then to get to work on our tropical night stuff and to put a few extra touches on the girl's pirate costumes.

Meanwhile I just have to sit on my butt! ;)

Un uh.....I found some.....(Ian's design for PC day).

;)

heck....I couldn't resist going back....it helps in avoiding housework too!! :lmao:

He posted different ones this morning, if you haven't gotten there yet.

You could probably throw a few shirts in with the undies.

Well, PINK would make the shirt work for the crossing and CHAMPAGNE girls:

Though the 'team' color is nice:

I have 50 pins I am ordering to trade. I wear the ones I am trading on a lanyard and change them at night. I don't trade much on the ships though.

PM'd Kelly this am with dinner and hummer list, so she could just check it against her stuff. I suggested sending the laynards to us (you and I) at the Hyatt. I can pick them up when I check in, and start passing them out as folks show up for the meet.

He posted different ones this morning, if you haven't gotten there yet.

Different that the ones I just posted above? With a different link? If so, any idea when this morning that was?

Nan,

I could do a version of the shirt without the words.

You you not want ANY of the words and just the graphic?

I just don't care for the Merry Isthmus part, I'm sorry I can't see what this is so funny. Can you just drop that part for one version?

never mind, I see you did it already, thanks!

CRUISE BUSINESS:

I hope everyone's pre-cruise plans in Orlando are coming long. There will be various DISmeets, and hopefully you can attend one or more.

Some of us will be at Epcot on Friday, May 9, and plan to meet for a casual lunch at 11:30. So far we have:

Woody
taysmon
disneylover5
Mom323
Tracyvp (maybe)
Katypop (will meet in afternoon)

Anyone else care to join us? If so, send me a PM, as I'm I'm still catching up.

You found it.

I have added more shirt variations.

Nan had asked for a shirt without wording so that appears.

There are shirts with wording on the front, on the back and no wording at all/

I also added tote bags.

Again, this works just like Cafe Press, you just order the size and color you want, though you may want to consider that a color might bleed through the graphics, but the choice is yours.

Again these are not marked up in anyway.

thanks Ian, I think these are great, I'm showing them to the kids to see if they want them for their character signing item :thumbsup2
