yes, when it started raining I shut down my reg pc and unplugged the laptop and booted up. we usually loose our power so I wanted to be ready, the house which is on fire - now looks to be contained is the one next door to that one that was for sale forever.

It was Dave. The US festival was back in '82 and again in "83. I went to the 83 show. heavy metal day included Quiet Riot, Motley Crue, Ozzy Osbourne, Judas Priest, Triumph, Scorpions, and Van Halen. Now that was a concert.

Those are all awesome groups.... I have seen all but Triumph. I can't even remember a song by that group.

Made chicken enchiladas for Venetia for dinner. Just about time to grub. Rice and beans too. Maybe some tequila later too!!!

I have always been like this. As a kid I would lock myself in the car when I had to go the dr. When I had to have shots before college it took 3 people to hold me down. I have only been in the hospital once and that was when I had my dd. No broken bones or any illnesses so I don't know why I hate it so bad. In fact I had my first dose of antibotics a couple of years ago. Found out I was allergic to it! My dr. could not believe that at 50+ I had never had any. We went through all my records and talked to my mom and nope I never had an illness that had required it. I hate dentists too! I go twice a year and I have not had to have any work on my teeth since I was 16 and had my braces taken off. Needless to say I don't visit people in hospitals either. Don't know what would happen if I really got sick!

When I was little, I did the same thing...ran out to the car and locked myself inside wouldn't let anyone get me to give me a shot. When I found out I was pregnant I cried because of all the needles I would have to endure. When my dd has to get shots, I cry. It's pathetic...

Shame we can't see it on the ship!

Do they have a movie theater at DTD in Florida?

NOPE! Which is bad of them too. My hubby is a Gold member on Northwest (flying to and from Iraq) and on Northwest they are exempting Elite members AND their flying party AND any Sky Team Elite members (like you)

I asked the lady specifically about the elite members and she said no - no one was exempt - not Frequent fliers or already purchased tickets.

I hope Delta and Northwest do not merge. Northwest has some issues but nothing like this in my eyes.

omg there are powerlines that exploded and are hanging everywhere. the firemen just yelled at all the people to get home (dh included) with the puddles and water and hanging powerlines that is a cause for disaster.

I am having a terrible day. I am so happy that I will be getting on one of the best cruiseships in the world for one of the best adventures of a lifetime in about a month to get away from it all.

Tammy it's ok to have some bad days......I have had a very weepy month.....I cry at the slightest little thing and at everything. I lost my mom eight months ago and have been feeling it the worst recently. I think because this month is Greek Easter and that was a huge celebration in my family with mom. This will be my first without her during it and it will never be the same again. Then we have the first mother's day coming up right after Greek Easter. I am soooooooo going to need this cruise. It can't get here fast enough. It's been a hard four years that my mom had been sick.....while I was in shock and going through the motions I was fine. I was relieved that she wasn't suffering anymore. Now.....I'm jello, I can't stop crying. It hurts and I miss her. It's so much harder now than when it happened.

John, you said the same thing about losing your mom. It's so much harder now a year later than it was when it happened. Every little thing is a memory and it comes flooding back and you feel your loss.

Just this morning I had to go get a blood test and drive by mom's block for the first time since it all happened. I immediately burst out in tears. It's everything all around me that reminds me of her and the fact that it's the first time in my life that she's not here.

It will get worse before it gets better and it's ok. But it will get better!

So Tammy you are in good company here. It's ok. Just cry! Feel what you're feeling and let it out! We are all here to share with you and help.

Thanks I will take another look. I had checked this afternoon and it was the same as the book they sent us. The book did have some new things in but the lady was telling us that they would be things specific to the Panama Canal cruise coming out shortly which could be ordered and placed in the room prior to our arrival. I do like some of the new things they have come out with though so am fine with picking something from there just so there is something in our room for the girls when we arrive. I love the Magic Moments for children which is why I am willing to plan the Secret Mickey event which so far has sparked some interest so that is great. I have both adults and children who have expressed interest. If anyone else is interested please send me a PM. I have about 15 people to this point.

Our last two December cruises we had deliveries made from Shirley's shop near the port. Our children were thrilled when they got to the room and it was decorated with the decorations ordered from DCL and the gifts from Shirley'. She is great but it gets a little expensive so thought I would just go with DCL merchandise this time. I believe Shirley charges $25 just for the delivery plus the merchandise. She is great though and I am not sorry I bought from there at all. Please don't get me wrong on that. I would definitely buy from her again. I just want to try DCL merchandise this time. We always end up buying lots more onboard too but the surprise in the room on arrival is great.
