I'll check out page 1, what happened to the old site? I'd love to see the website pertaining to this cruise got lots of planning to do!

This will be our 4th cruise on Disney we did the land/sea back in Feb. 04, the Mexican Riviera in May 05, and the Carribean in 06 (sorry don't remember specifics, but can look it up)...we love Disney. Also, we've cruised RCI 3 times, and NCL once to Hawaii.

Welcome!!! I think there's a couple of folks from AZ onboard.

Hey guys, more freakin rain tonight and tomorrow, and Sunday and Tuesday and Friday :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

man, this thread downloads so fast I caught up on 6 pages in 3 min. :cloud9:

V, do you have an estimate for the jeeps in Aruba? Also, would another couple like to share with DrHug and I? We promise not to fight! ;) :lmao: :lmao:

OK...who knows which ports we will dock at and which ones we will have to tender? Mostly I want to know about Aruba...the one port where we may be doing a non-DCL excursion.

thanks

The itinerary on my DCL receipt shows Cabo as the only one we tender at.

So I emailed DCL about the lack of steamer trunk in our cabin even though their rack info the agents read from says there's on in every cabin and I suggested they correct their terminology to better reflect what's accurate. This is their response, which I found interesting, particularly the word "majority"...

Dear Lisa,

I sincerely regret the disappointment regarding the lack of the steamer
trunk in your stateroom. In checking with our housekeeping crew onboard
both ships, because of the square footage in the Category 9 staterooms
(which is 214 square feet), the majority of staterooms in this category
are unable to accommodate the steamer trunk.

I hope this information has been helpful, should you require further
assistance in planning your visit, please contact your travel agent.

We look forward to sailing with your family again through the Panama
Canal!

So I emailed them back again, and suggested that since the majority of the staterooms don't have one (quoting back to their email) then they shouldn't tell people there is one. I said it's better to not set the expectation. We'll see what they say. By the way, I'm not looking for anything from them other than a correction as I'm a person who operates on principal.

One handy little item I bought for my last cruise was an "aquapak".

Basically it is a plastic bag you put your camera in and then you can take pictures underwater. It does take a little getting used to in order to use the buttons and such, but it worked pretty good for some of the pics I took last time at CC. Also it isn't nearly as expensive as buying an underwater kit for your digital camera.

This way you can use your digital camera and take underwater pics and if you need to get them developed at Shutters you can do it.

A little tip that suggest to "test" it before every use tho:

Put a kleenex in the bag, seal it up and put it under the water. The kleenex, if it gets wet will tell you instantly if there is any water inside the bag. I do this every time before I use my aquapac just in case.

Here are some of the pics I took with it in 2006 at CC:

Anyhow, just thought I would share this little contraption for those that might want to take their digital cams into the water. It has worked great for me.

Thanks for this link, it looks great, I'm getting one :thumbsup2

He wasn't going to begin with. He hasn't ever approved of my mom traveling and she travels anyways because she doesn't want him to run her life but she can't take the arguing, and after last night's blow out I doubt they will repair any of the hurt feelings.

Since I refuse to live with him and can't afford living on my own until I finish paying student loans, medical bills, and car payments I will have to follow Mom where she goes.

Right now that is Orlando so while living closer to the mouse is something I would enjoy I just wish it was done differently.

Thanks for the pixie dust and if anyone knows anything about the Orlando Area and living and working there I'd appreciate it.

But I will know more in a few days we will have to see if we can do both the cruise and move and afford it both.

I'm hoping you are able to do both!!

Hi! I'm the one that booked this cruise today from Mesa, AZ....sorry I don't spend much time here and I didn't know about the cruise meets but it sounds soooo fun.

It would be great to meet some of the people from Mesa that are going on this cruise, especially if we could find some kids around my daughter's age, she's 3.

Sorry to butt in to some of the chat that was going on, but just wanted to say hi, and I hope to start spending more time Dising with you all about this cruise!!!

:woohoo:

Welcome! Jump in whenever you want!

Has anyone heard from Deborah? I was wondering if the letter to school has had a reply.

Thanks everyone!

And I can't really say much but If I were you and were thinking about ordering a Passporter Cruise Guide then I'd order it from Passporter Directly to get the chapters online first. From what I have read of the book ;) It will be a good read for all!

I was able to order PP via my bookstore to get the employee discount, now I wish I had ordered via Passporter.

Goodmorning all from the stormy west! Well, I went to a parent mtg last night to one of our 4 perspective schools for kindergarten. It is the most expensive at $15K with an additional $2 of giving and uniforms UGH! While this school really interferes with my cruising, it was fantastic. I've taught drug ed at the school for 7 years and I learned all kinds of stuff I didn't know about it. 22 openings for 133 apps:scared1: Came back and the dis was gone. Did anything important happen? I'll repost the dismeets and change the post listings in my signature. PS: we have 3 more storms coming our way this weekend.
Hate to break it to you, but 15k and 2k annual giving is a good deal around these parts. In my area, the average non denominational private school is 17k for lowerschool and then it goes up. Average annual giving is about the same.
Everyone have big weekend plans?

We're going to PF Changs for lunch and then go see Untraceable. That's it for us - probably watch a lot of movies at home Sat and Sun.
It's raining, as it has been for 5 days. I'll be couch potatoing it under lots of blankets!
For those of you that HAVE to know, I saved the thread offline, so I can send ya the file if you need the info.

I myself am one of those HAVE to know persons. Otherwise known as NOSEY!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Totally under water again at work today. Please take a moment to BE QUIET. Thank you, no more pages today...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: (until I get home)

Oh one more thing, I'm going to be a GREAT AUNTIE Tomorrow!!!!! My nephew's wife is going in for a C tomorrow (baby is sunnyside up and breach):scared1: Please keep Cindy and Jeremy and little baby to be in your prayers.

Congrats nan!

Aruba has a cruise dock, so does PV.

Cabo is a tender.

Not sure about ACA.

Last time I cruised to ACA, it was a dock.

I'm ready to cry well too late I am:sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1: :sad1:

there is like a 2% chance that we will be able to go on this cruise. Everything was fine until last night and well lets just say feelings are hurt beyond repair and My mother will need to move out of her house and seperate from her husband. So unless a Miracle occurs. There may be a stateroom opening up for those in the lifeboat crew.

I'll keep you all updated. To say I am frustrated, upset etc is one thing to know how much mom is hurting right now is worse.
I hope everything works out for you!
