He wasn't going to begin with. He hasn't ever approved of my mom traveling and she travels anyways because she doesn't want him to run her life but she can't take the arguing, and after last night's blow out I doubt they will repair any of the hurt feelings.

Since I refuse to live with him and can't afford living on my own until I finish paying student loans, medical bills, and car payments I will have to follow Mom where she goes.

Right now that is Orlando so while living closer to the mouse is something I would enjoy I just wish it was done differently.

Thanks for the pixie dust and if anyone knows anything about the Orlando Area and living and working there I'd appreciate it.

But I will know more in a few days we will have to see if we can do both the cruise and move and afford it both.

Major    s to you and your mom. I'm sorry you need to go through this....remember you can come to use to vent if you need to.

I live in Davenport (Polk County) about 20 minutes W of WDW. Let me know if I can help at all (I'll try!)

Gydell, sent the postcard off day before yesterday! That silly Gingerbread Man was heading up to Mt. Hood with a sled when we caught sight of him! ;)

Mine will be in the mail tomorrow....he's been having too much fun at WDW :thumbsup2

BTW how is that project going?

On the scrapbboking thread on the main cruise forum, a few poster had cute ideas.

Bring a page for dining mates to sign. So if you scrap a photo page of dining companions you'll have their signatures.

Do the same for characters, bring a page to Guest Services, for the characters to sign

Cork - I LOVE the idea for the dining mates! I'd heard about doing it for the characters.....I plan actually to bring a mat (for a frame) and ask them to sign that, then get a "group" pic and put it in there.

Nothing fun in the mail for me today :sad1:

Ok - so what happens if/when we get our original thread back? Are we going back to that one and forgetting this one or what???

Ok I feel like Karen now....

Ding a dang a ding.....:rotfl2:

Signing off for now....leaving work...stopping at Walmart..then home.

Wait! That could change...I just got a voicemail from my cousins in Argentina that they are here in Orlando....will try to see if I can connect w/ them.

Will try to get back on later tonight.....have a good evening.

Spoke w/ my cousins....planning to meet up w/ them on Sunday. Went to Walmart as planned, then home to relax..no bike tonight. Did 4 miles yesterday - figured I'd take tonight off and then do more tomorrow.

Guess I'm all by myself tonight.

Is our original thread going to be back up in about 5 minutes??? I'll be on the look out

Can I fill a whole page all by myself?? I can try!

Does anyone know if Sue Ellen from DU is on vacation? I emailed her something earlier this week, and she usually responds back w/in 24hrs.

Nothing majorly important but still....

well....since I'm only entertaining myself at the moment I'll sign out for the night.

I'll check in w/ you guys tomorrow.

Have a good night, and hopefully I'll find everyone tomorrow :thumbsup2

HI Monica....and goodnight!

I didn't realize it's already after 11pm....guess I'll go check and see if our old thread is back. Been too busy paying tons of bills online and lost track of time. ;)

Sorry I wasn't home in time to play with you Monica!

Had a wonderful dinner at a neighborhood restaurant that recently went under new managment. OMG! It's wonderful.:thumbsup2 I walked in, Peg was at the tiny bar with the manager and she said "You aren't going to believe this." I said, "What?" (clever response eh?). "They sell Rosa Regale by the glass!" :cool1: Tried Banfi's San Angelo Pinot Grigio...LOVED IT. So my new 'special' dining plan is a glass of Pinot Grigio with bruchetta, a salad, then straight to their chocolate souffle (YOU HEARD ME) and a glass of Rosa Regale. Sometimes 'mom' makes panna cotta too. I swear I felt like I was at Palo! So I didn't have any Rose Ragle tonight, as he only had one bottle, I told him not to open it...I was taking it home (for tomorrow). As he is liscensed properly, he sold it to me at the same price as the wine shop charges (not at a 'restaurant' jacked up price per bottle). Saved me a stop at the wine shop.

Karen, you'd be so proud of me...I'm actually starting to like wine! (or at least the stuff from Italy)

How do you know if your ressie is linked to others?
Is there a spot on disneycruise.com that you can see this?

Well, unless you ASKED them to link you with someone...it won't be. If you did request a link, you can call them to confirm it.

Hi! I'm the one that booked this cruise today from Mesa, AZ....sorry I don't spend much time here and I didn't know about the cruise meets but it sounds soooo fun.

It would be great to meet some of the people from Mesa that are going on this cruise, especially if we could find some kids around my daughter's age, she's 3.

Sorry to butt in to some of the chat that was going on, but just wanted to say hi, and I hope to start spending more time Dising with you all about this cruise!!!

:woohoo:

Yeah....you found us! Kids, when I saw sandgrace's post about booking today, I told her we were speculating on who would grab the open reservation!

AZ DISers....shall we try for a Feb meet?

. After searching the main board I find this thread and in less than 24 hours you all have gone 23 pages!!!!!!!
All I can say is:

We're going to have SO MUCH FUN!

S

Oh yeah. :cool1: :dance3: :cool1:

Since this is my first DCL trip... I have to wait until 75 days to make my ressies for everything?????

Ok... so save me Palo on the 13th (mom's bday...) 1 brunch - tea and 1toursy excursion for each of us....

You can be SURE there won't be anything for Palo at 75 days....ALL OF US CASTAWAY members are gonna suck them up. But, don't worry, just race to RNBD the minute you get on the ship. Actually, with all our days, there may be some on line openings. :confused3

Nothing majorly important but still....

Sue Ellen's husband Steve has been in the hospital for about a week. He is home now, but I think it has been stressful for their whole family.

We're 100 posts ahead of the Eastbound gang!

pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate: pirate:

I hope they just merge this thread with the old one....if they give the old ones back.

The missed three threads that were over 10,000 in the Cruise Meets forum...they are still there.

Nothing fun in the mail for me today :sad1:

Ok - so what happens if/when we get our original thread back? Are we going back to that one and forgetting this one or what???

If when the other thread returns it can be posted to, it is very simple to merge the two so that it will seem like you never left. :)

Well, I added the new thread post number (just in case) and my OKW and ship of thieves tags disappeared. It shows that it is there on my edit signature, but not on my posts. Does anyone else see them?

Just too much in your siggy... it happens to me all the time... I never know when things are going to show up...

DL hours are out through the 24th of May......when will they post the rest?

The day after we leave...

we are grilling out ribs tonight...gonna go sit on the deck for a while.

V... I'll join you as soon as my ultra warm arctic hyperthermia prevention suit arrives... (it was 2 last night...)

Gydell, sent the postcard off day before yesterday! That silly Gingerbread Man was heading up to Mt. Hood with a sled when we caught sight of him! ;)

But he was here changing light bulbs at the GE Building just yesterday... :confused3

Final payment is due 90 days out. You can book Palos 75 days out at 12am est. Chances are there will be no Palos left, so if not as soon as you board make ressies since they always save some for boarding day.

Yes, that is correct. Your first cruise you book at 75 days. You may not be able to book what you want, but go to RBD as soon as you board and you will be able to book Palo. Don't get upset if there are none on line. It really will be ok.

Ok... go and beg for ressies when I get on board... when does RBD open?

Give us a day and you'll be 30 pages behind again.:

Yep, you were so right, it took me over an hour to catch up to day and tomorrow it will be impossible, lol.

Well oldest DD is on her way. We are going to the Mall.

Youngest DD is leaving for a Photography class in Utah the day we return from the PC cruise. She'll need luggage since we'll have most of it.

Take care all.

Cork

:rotfl2: Good reason to go luggage shopping.

Thought you guys would get a kick out of this:

A couple of weeks before the med repo a bunch of folks from Orlando got together had a big dismeet party and made a banner to hang over the side of the ship. My dad took these pictures.

That looks great.

One handy little item I bought for my last cruise was an "aquapak".

Basically it is a plastic bag you put your camera in and then you can take pictures underwater. It does take a little getting used to in order to use the buttons and such, but it worked pretty good for some of the pics I took last time at CC. Also it isn't nearly as expensive as buying an underwater kit for your digital camera.

This way you can use your digital camera and take underwater pics and if you need to get them developed at Shutters you can do it.

A little tip that suggest to "test" it before every use tho:

Put a kleenex in the bag, seal it up and put it under the water. The kleenex, if it gets wet will tell you instantly if there is any water inside the bag. I do this every time before I use my aquapac just in case.

Here are some of the pics I took with it in 2006 at CC:

For me it was a little windy that day and I was fighting the wind blowing me around a bit so it was tough to keep steady to take the pics. That is why this one shows the ray at the top of the pic. He was in the middle when I thought I took it, honest!

Anyhow, just thought I would share this little contraption for those that might want to take their digital cams into the water. It has worked great for me.

Thank you for sharing, definetly I think that might be the way to gofor beach pictures :thumbsup2

I spent about 30 minutes the other night going through all of your posts looking for the africam website link - I apparently never added it to favorites when it changed and I cleaned out our histroy and cookies before I discovered it.

I did find it so all is good - Darrell is watching now too! Though he mostly watches in the morning and I mostly watch at night. Lot of activity on there right now.

I just saw it posted, but when I copied and pasted the address it didn´t work for me. Can someone else post a different link, please?

a quick question about excursions seeing as how we have never done one...

Do the prices listed include any taxes (if there are taxes)?

The excursions that you plan to do on your own in Mexico will most definetly include all the taxes, since the prices shown for everything here have already added the applicable taxes, so you only pay the price tag.

For those of you that HAVE to know, I saved the thread offline, so I can send ya the file if you need the info.

I myself am one of those HAVE to know persons. Otherwise known as NOSEY

Totally under water again at work today. Please take a moment to BE QUIET. Thank you, no more pages today...: (until I get home)

Oh one more thing, I'm going to be a GREAT AUNTIE Tomorrow!!!!! My nephew's wife is going in for a C tomorrow (baby is sunnyside up and breach):scared1: Please keep Cindy and Jeremy and little baby to be in your prayers.

Congratulations!

Been there done that .... got that tee shirt.....using two computer screens and two machines. I used to work at home and I had my computer and the office computer set up side by side. I loved it.

DH does that with an extra screen and it drives me crazy, and at the same time it makes me green with envy, lol.

I'm ready to cry well too late I am:

there is like a 2% chance that we will be able to go on this cruise. Everything was fine until last night and well lets just say feelings are hurt beyond repair and My mother will need to move out of her house and seperate from her husband. So unless a Miracle occurs. There may be a stateroom opening up for those in the lifeboat crew.

I'll keep you all updated. To say I am frustrated, upset etc is one thing to know how much mom is hurting right now is worse.

Oh no, :grouphug:

Anybody else get there cruise docs today in the mail?? Lots of fun reading. :thumbsup2

No, not yet, and with our mail speed, we will probably pick them up in person when we show at the terminal, since our mail is so slow that last december some Xmas cards that we got had our local post office stamp on dec. 9 and we got them on the 16th, so it took them an entire week to deliver them less than 2 miles away.

Sorry I wasn't home in time to play with you Monica!

You just made me very hungry, your dinner sounds extremely delicious.

I am off for tonight and tomorrow we are making over 300:scared1: tamales oaxaqueños. They are yummy but a lot of work to make. We are having them for "día de la candelaria".

Good night!
