For all others with well wishes for my dd...thanks.
It's been a tough year. We thought she might have ADD, but luckily it's just some kind of adaptive issue. They attribute it to changing from 3rd to 4th grade (lots more work) and the change in her home life at her dads. She only see's her dad everyother weekend. BUT when you've had someone all to yourself for almost 10 years (and he dotes on her) it was hard to have to share. He did tell me that he was moving in before, but he was nervous( weird right?) about telling her. AND basically he was living with his GF before he officially moved in. Anyways, good thing in her testing was, she's at or above grade level in all subjects. So it's not a learning issue. Phew!

Thanks again for the thoughts. She's really a sweet girl who loves people. In fact, I told her about our mini girls meet in feb. and she is soo excited to meet the other girls in our area. She has a countdown going in her room!

Occupational Therapy, rather than PT Physical Therapy. I can't be sure to give a good definition for the difference and when I do it makes my OT sister pissed off since I get them wrong. :lmao:
this may have been answered but I'm really behind.

occupational therapy--assists people with Active Daily Living tasks, normal stuff you do day to day and the movements associated with them

physical therapy--helps more specifically with muscoskeletal system, joints and muscles and the motion therein.

at least that's my undertstanding of it.

My mother loved the ride and the song - she bought a musical box that played it. We had the song played, by an organist, at her funeral. Those of us who recognised it were laughing and crying at the same time. The people who didn't know it presumably thought we'd all gone mad. :lmao:

Whenever we're at WDW (or DL, or DLP), we feel compelled to ride 'for Mum'. Does that count as her haunting us? :)

I love it too. It was one of my life's best choices (going on that ride). And, the song is great, if you dig the message.:cool1:

Thank you for this info. We were wondering if they did that or not. Sure hope they do that for this cruise.

When did you go on the Med cruise? We were on from June 27 to July 7. It was great.
We were on the cruise before you...warming it up!

I was thinking maybe drive one week out across a few states then a week back. Or take the Amtrak from Emeryville to Chicago and back stopping along the way.

I have done this a few times when I was a kid. It's fun for the kids, I don't know about the adults. My sister, bro and I loved taking the train!

Has everyone finished their taxes yet?

I just completed and filed ours. Yea - done for another year :cool1:

Done, but not filed. I like to double check obsessively, then send! :rolleyes1

I'm loving it. I'll be using it tomorrow morning when I write out my grocery list. I plan on picking up the 8 foods you should eat every day:

1. Spinach (substitutes: Kale, Bok Choy, romaine lettuce)

2. Yogurt (live, active culture. substitues: Kefir, soy yogurt)

3. Tomatoes (substitues red watermelon, pink grapefruit, Japanese persimmon, papays, guava)

4. Carrots (substitues: sweet potatoe, pumpkin, butternut squash, yellow bell pappers, mango)

5. Blueberries (substitutes: purple grapes, prunes, raisins, strawberries)

6. Black beans (substitutes: peas, lentils, and pinto, kidney, fava or lima beans,.
7. Walnuts (substitutes: almonds, peanuts, pistachios, macadamia nuts)
.
8. Oats (substitutes: quinoa, flaxseed, wild rice.

Throw in some protein (such as salmon, turkey or lean beaf) and you've got it covered.QUOTE]

I do 2,3,4 everyday and 1,7 about 3...and protein every day. I don't like 8 ugh!

Hello!

We are coming from Australia for this cruise - myself, my husband and our little girl (almost 7 at time of cruise). We are also staying for a week beforehand at CR and for a week at the end at the Hyatt - great minds think alike!!
As we are getting married all over again on the cruise, we were able to book at 105 days (like you lucky suite people!!), and we also had some trouble getting bookings (couldn't always get the time we wanted).

Congrats. My friends got engaged on dcl and married at disneyland. I hope your ceremony is beautiful. My aunt and cousins live in Perth. Which side are you on?

Oh, and while I am bragging (sorry).....did I ever mention that she worked on this little tiny film here in Salt Lake City that was released on the Disney Channel? Oh......well, she hates when I mention it, because she is a teenager, but here are a few shots from that project (in case anyone happens to recognize it!) (and filming starts here mid April for the third installment which will be released to the big screen. Don't know with Jamie's schedule whether she will be auditioning for it or not)

Okay, I'll stop now.......................

She's beautiful and going to be a big hit with the 7-11 year olds if she brings her HSM pictures. She'll be a "star"

Guys, here is the story of me,

I am a Virgo/Libra, born right on the cusp to the minute. That's right, fairness/patience with an obsessive need to organize, that I generally try to ignore . Doing the website, makes me happy and keeps me sane, you are all just indulging me.

Pj

On my last cruise the hostess, thanked me for being so neat and tidy, I was shocked thought I was being messy, lol. At home I am a collector, books everywhere, I need to purge.

Books are Good ! Collecting is good ! Organizing is Good ! :thumbsup2

Thanks. Alot of the CM's know Jamie. But...she won't be on the PC cruise. She is still in school and I would be cutting into her social life! And, the drill team is going to New York City right in the middle of the cruise for 5 days. (That's why I am not sure if she will be doing HSM III or not because filming starts around middle of April and runs for about 6-7 weeks).

Well I love the story of you! I get it and thank you again anyway. BTW, I too need to purge.....everything in the house!

Me too. We have purged 4 LARGE Dumpster loads already. LOL. Still about 2 to go, if we do everything. All that the barn has left in it is hay. ODOT is using that when they can. I am doing my part for our roads. With the weather we're having, they might get all of the hay out soon. (I hope!)

Apologies if this has already been posted.

On ebay a couple of people are advertising fish extenders, actually calling them fish extenders. One does mention Disney, but doesn't really explain. The other doesn't explain at all. Anyone who comes across them while looking for, presumably, fishing supplies must really be confused! :confused3

Yeah ! They'll probably think that it is something to make the fish look bigger for the picture. LOL.

The have a section called "At Your Favorite Restaurants" where they tell to 'eat this, not that'. For example, Applebees. Select the grilled Cajun lime tilapia, with brocolli and corn/black bean salsa INSTEAD of the Fiesta Lim Chicken with sauce, cheese, salsa, tortilla strips and rice. Same lively southwestern flavors at a quarter of the calories. 310 cal, 6 g fat (0g saturated) vs. 1285 cal, 47g fat (14g saturated). They list the sodium contents and have little blurgs of info like:Just a few ounces of fish a week can cut heart attack risk by 38% according to a Greek study. Then they will also list two other menu options in the good and bad section.

Regarding Krispy Kreme: choose whole wheat glazed donut, original glazed donut holes or very berry chiller (no whipped cream). All under 200 calories. Don't select: glazed blueberry cake donut, caramel creme crunch or the Mocah Dream Chiller. They have a cute blurb on this one called Weapon of Mass Destruction. That's the 20 oz chocolate, chocolate chiller 1,052 cal, 42g fat (36 saturated) 100g sugar.:scared1:

Right after the 8 foods you should eat every day, they list the 20 worst foods in America, by catagory. For example: worst supermarket meal Peppridge Farm Roasted Chicken Pot Pie, 1020cal, 64g fat, 86g carbs....Swason pot pie has just 400 calories.

It was nice to read that I have been making the right choice when it comes to ribs: Baby Back, Memphis Dry Rub...the only way to go!

This book is by David Zinczenko the Editor-in-Chief of Men's Health magazine by the way.

Thanks - I'm going to go ahead and pick that one up :thumbsup2

What a beautiful young lady . . .

And, did we know this before????

Sophia will want her autograph!

Getting ready to leave for the H-M movie . . . wish me luck!

All I'm looking for is Palos brunch and tea. We aren't impressed with dinner.

Us too - as far as Palo.

But we are doing all of our excursions through DCL. But most are the touring kind which from past experience will have several hundred people on them.
