We're in the same boat! My daughters can't miss more than 10 days of school or they'll be kicked out so we leave at 7 pm Friday and don't arrive into MCO until 7:30 am Sat.! We're hoping to sleep some on the plane but with kids you never know...plus we'll all be so excited!!

So be sure to pass the toothpicks around!!!

I will bring the round toothpicks, they work better as they keep the eyes from crossing!

I agree. There's nothing like a night under the stars at the Hollywood Bowl.

Woody

Woody, you might want to look into the July/August programs on the weekend at the starlight bowl here in burbank. Same fun atmosphere as the HB, but less people and a grass area you can spread a blanket out upon if you want to. Lots of good muisc and food too.

Today I was strict diet and do the exercise:eek:

Scottishwee35

One day at a time!!!:thumbsup2

wonder how long for?

Scottishwee35

63?;)

While streching, after her Walking for Fitness badge with the girl scout troop on Sunday afternoon, in our driveway she dislocated it. Fortunately it popped right back in, but it hurt and she was scared. It gets swollen while she is on it all day at school and then while resting it goes down. I'm afraid it's the same kind of thing I did in 7th grade during wrestling practice. I've had weak knees every since. I'm always afraid they will "pop" out again during activity that stresses them (like snow sking) hence my lack of enthusiam for such sports.

Aaagh, I'd get it checked out somehow.:grouphug:

I suppose ... If I had to ...

Lime green just isn't my color, though I find myself asking, is it anyone's color?

No, but this is Disney, any colour goes.

The only 4:30 I see is pm!

:lmao:

Hey Tori,
I'm sorry you won't be joining us! I'm going on the Dec. 7 Wonder--maybe I'll see you on that!

That would be the Mousefest cruise we went on last year. We are over again at this time and I would love to do it again.

Well, I've been sitting at this desk for 10 hours...time to head home! Maybe I need to go SHOPPING to get in a little expercise, eh?

later kids.....

.

The very BEST kind of exercise.:rotfl:

HEY EVERYBODY, GUESS WHAT!

I got a monitor to hook my laptop up to! I'm baaaaaaaaaack! I LOVE FREECYCLE! I checked one last time right before leaving work and a guy had posted that he had a bunch of computer stuff to give away, including 3 monitors. So I e-mailed him my phone number, he called right after I picked up Tyler from school, and we immediately went to pick it up. His former roommate used to repair computers and when he moved out, he left tons of computer parts lying around, so the remaining roommate is trying to get rid of it all. :thumbsup2 It's not the greatest monitor because the color is almost all faded out of the screen, and there are a couple lines going across it towards the top, but IT WAS FREE AND IT'S WORKING! :cool1:

Great Holly.:thumbsup2

You know - I think that I was lucky enough or my TA was one of the first from this end of the continent because I got a designated room - which now I'm kinda hoping I didn't get one! That way I'd of had a chance for an upgrade - oh well - wishful thinking.

I have wondered if DU just had so many clients to book for they asked for X nos of 6's, X nos of 7's etc and so received GTY cabins.

Can't keep my eyes open any longer. Will try to sleep despite Tyler's horrible cough. He's coughing so much it sounds like he's going to throw up. Yuck.

Anyway, I'm getting closer to catching up with you all! I think I'm on page 162. Probably won't have time tomorrow at work to check because I'll only work about 1 1/2 hour, then head back to pick Tyler up from school, we have his sensory processing disorder eval with the occupational therapist, then I take him back to school and I head back to work for only 2 hours and back to pick him up after school. Crazy. I wish she'd had an appt avail at either the beginning or end of the day, but took what we could get.

V, great pics, as always! :goodvibes

Poor Tyler. Is this a new cough or still hanging over from the last one as sometimes happens?

Hi Nan,

I'm so sorry to hear about your daughters knee but I would definitely have it looked at! Some people are predisposed to dislocations because of how the patella sits on the groove and if its shallow this can happen more often!

As you will all see on the cruise I'm still in a leg brace and who knows when if ever I will be out of it! This is an "extreme" case but my daughters were laying on me a year and a half ago and when they moved off somehow they caught on my knee and the patella actually dislocated underneath my leg! It broke the patella and the femur and tore all the ligaments and tendons, etc. I've since had 2 surgeries to fix the some of the damage! But now I have nerve damage from the surgery! The doctors aren't sure when or if it will heal! So at this point I don't have a quad muscle even though I do about 2 hours of physical therapy a day and I have to wear a brace so I won't fall over! In my case it was a freak accident but you don't realize how important the knee is until something serious happens! I would just take her in to be safe!!!

Best wishes!

Oh, that sounds just awful. Poor you.

Do they only like Ticker Factory ones here and that is why our Mouse Path ones have gone?

Good Morning All - Another Day closer to the cruise - and yes, another day for me to try to catch-up ------- I am losing the battle....:confused3

I see that we will be staying in almost every hotel that Port Canaveral has to offer - this trip we decided to go low key - I am not even sure when we will arrive that night so decided to economize where I could - Even though we are only 2.5-3 hours from the Port - we do go up the night before. I have heard too many horror stories about people who have missed their cruise ship because of not being there on time. And besides, waiting in line is the beginning of the fun - rright?

I thought the sales was for Home but turn out lots of stuff was on sales. I was a bit annoying today because I didn't know about it. If I knew, I should went in the morning. But I managed grab 4 things cos include my discount too. i got all for 13 pounds. After work , I went home.

Because I carry the suitcarrier which I won from my work today:rolleyes1 I put my name down on the list. I was last one to put down and my work draw today. I WON as it is lovely suitcarrier, black leather, cost 35 pounds. I Wish take it to Florida as prefect for Kilt but only one allow baggage!! Never mind. We use it for Dublin in New Year!!

Scottishwee35

So are you wearing the Kilt for formal night? On one of our cruises we saw a gent dressed up in the full gear - looked great!

My kilt has long since disappeared with the many moves of my life and the many sizes I have been. I am disappointed as it was not intentional. Right now, all I have are a scarf and a sash - They come out for the Highland Games - well South Florida's version of same which are very low key - but still lots of fun.

I'll be in one of my bedazzled shirts!

Have been meaning to ask you --- is that because of the movie?

Meanwhile, we are not sure what shirts we will be wearing - did not elect to go with the group and get the lime green - guess we are party poopers on that account - so, perhaps our TWICE THE MAGIC shirts from the first Doublescoop Cruise? Hum, how will they look against the map background. REally, I want that photo.....

I wonder why all the continental breakfast? We are usually up at 4:30 in the morning. The buses don't start leaving until 10, don't they?

Is there going to be some huge slapping fight to see who gets on the bus first? I hate a scene.

Actually yes, goes well with Red Hair....stangely enough I have many lime green shirts....

I hope someone mentioned when the buses leave - sorry - that I do not know.

Plan now is that we are wearing red so our pix will be matching colors. Different shirt styles but same color.

That's nice - and red will be a great color....Debating our Twice the Magic Shirts now - we would be in two different colors but the same pattern....

hum....

Well - what I wear today is a more pressing decision.

You're very fortunate.

Here we are -- 13 months later -- and we're still GTY. Arrgghhh!

Woody

Gosh, embarrassed to post but we requested two cabin choices and we got our 2nd choice - now how cool is that :thumbsup2 sorry......guess it was luck...:thumbsup2

This reminded me of neighbors we had in Fla. They asked us to feed their cats while they were gone. After a few days I started looking for the litter box. I couldn't find it and got worried about where the cats were leaving their presents. I finally found the spot. They had trained their cats to go in the tub. They would run the shower to rinse the items down the drain. :scared1:

When we first moved into ourhome, we had a neighbor in FL who asked us to feed her cat - sure we said, wanting to be neighborly, she brought over bowls, blankets, food, toys.....

She wanted us to feed her cat because they were moving!!!!!!!!!!!!

The cat, however, was not:lmao:

Do share, please.

OK PJ and all you other Mac users. Here's the link for the Flickr Export for iPhoto.

I really like it. It saves many steps and adds a new tab in the export screen when you go to File>Export

http://connectedflow.com/flickrexport/

I use iPhoto a lot. The other two programs I rely on are Photoshop and Graphic Converter.

I was lucky and got a cheap version of full Photoshop about 12 years ago. Now all I have to do is buy upgrades.

If any of you don't have Graphic Converter, you should. Don't be fooled by the name. It is an amazing program and I really rely on it. It is like the Swiss Army Knife of graphics programs.

Good morning all. I have a question I keep meaning to ask and keep forgetting. What is a dummy reservation that you talk about making on board the ship and how does it work? :confused3

Carol, to take advantage of the OBC and discount for rebooking onboard, many cruisers who are unsure of when they will next cruise, will book a dummy date, that they fully know they will be moving when their plans firm up. As long as you make that change more then 90 days in advance you lose nothing and keep the OBC and discount on the new date.

I did something similar with DVC, I called member services within 3 days of my last cruise and let them know that I would be cruising, next time on points, but that the dates had not opened, and they made a note on my file that I will be booking via DVC and I will get the rebooking points discount, which ranged from 15% on a cat 11 to 12% on a cat 8/cat 6, when the dates we want open.
