& to that... I'm going to sign off... Gotta make some important calls tomorrow and I have to be slightly bright tailed and bushy eyed... (well, that won't be hard...)

I promise to stay up later another night and chat....

Nite!!!

For all of you who have never been to the Hollywood Bowl, I highly recommend a visit there. It is a SoCal spectacular evening of picnic and fun.

I have to concur that no visit to Los Angeles in the summer is complete without a night at the Hollywood Bowl or for smaller crowds but same atmosphere, a concert on a Saturday night at the Starlight Bowl here in Burbank.

I hope everyone had a great day and yes the boys and I are still waiting in the lifeboat.

HEY EVERYBODY, GUESS WHAT!

I got a monitor to hook my laptop up to! I'm baaaaaaaaaack! I LOVE FREECYCLE! I checked one last time right before leaving work and a guy had posted that he had a bunch of computer stuff to give away, including 3 monitors. So I e-mailed him my phone number, he called right after I picked up Tyler from school, and we immediately went to pick it up. His former roommate used to repair computers and when he moved out, he left tons of computer parts lying around, so the remaining roommate is trying to get rid of it all. :thumbsup2 It's not the greatest monitor because the color is almost all faded out of the screen, and there are a couple lines going across it towards the top, but IT WAS FREE AND IT'S WORKING! :cool1:

Yay :cool1: Congrats Holly! Looking forward to reading your posts again...of course they'll put me even further behind:rolleyes:

So how much are we suppose to tip again for 15 nights? I went to the site that adds it up for you, and it is saying over $900 for our family of 6. Does that seem right?

nan- Glad you live so close makes it easy to stop by!

It is slow lately...must be the lovely weather! At least here in california.

I think Lisa is correct. There was some talk about meeting for breakfast, but I think most everyone wants to be in the Hummerzine or on the bus asap. At least I do. Plus I don't want to eat to much so I can save "room" for lunch on board.:thumbsup2 I'm going with a light breakfast.

Breakfast?? I leave LAX at 2240 on the night of the 9th and 4.5 hrs later or 0600 EDT, we arrive at MCO, wait for the first bus at 0930 to be at the port to get on board, unpack, feed the guys, and hopefully be ready to wave at the sail away without toothpicks holding my eyelids open! Plus I need to get a new mug that day!:drinking1

I start talking and everyone leaves....fine! :rotfl2:

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: and PD to all who need it.

Welcome to the newbies.

Please no more 9/11 stories....I still can't handle reading stuff about it. :sad2: :sad1: (I get anxiety/panic attacks---really bad around the anniversary when there is so much about it on tv).

Kathe - meant to ask you....when are you doing the parasailing on CC? Will & I are booked at 1030a.

Ian - LOVED the update about Mrs Bennett...and the pics.

Nan - thanks for the pm.

Monica-I'm booked at 10:00! I'd feel better if you and Will were booked at 10:00 and I was at 10:30

We're in the same boat! My daughters can't miss more than 10 days of school or they'll be kicked out so we leave at 7 pm Friday and don't arrive into MCO until 7:30 am Sat.! We're hoping to sleep some on the plane but with kids you never know...plus we'll all be so excited!!

So be sure to pass the toothpicks around!!!

While streching, after her Walking for Fitness badge with the girl scout troop on Sunday afternoon, in our driveway she dislocated it. Fortunately it popped right back in, but it hurt and she was scared. It gets swollen while she is on it all day at school and then while resting it goes down. I'm afraid it's the same kind of thing I did in 7th grade during wrestling practice. I've had weak knees every since. I'm always afraid they will "pop" out again during activity that stresses them (like snow sking) hence my lack of enthusiam for such sports.

Nan, sorry that Molly has hurt her knee  Sounds like you've been given lots of good advice, hope it isn't anything serious and that she's feeling better soon, and that you can stop worrying

. . . I got a designated room - which now I'm kinda hoping I didn't get one! That way I'd of had a chance for an upgrade - oh well - wishful thinking.
I don't think having a designated room affects your chance of an upgrade.

We have been upgraded twice, even though we already had assigned cabins.

I agree. There's nothing like a night under the stars at the Hollywood Bowl.

A bit... thanks...

but the weather sucks...

Mostly it is a business thing that I am supposed to be doing very soon and we are stalled on the talks and I'm hoping it doesn't affect this trip so I'm also a bit bummed..

Just looked outside and there is a very nice but very icy sheen on my car... I guess I won't be going anywhere tomorrow. Just hope we don't lose electric... if we do... then we lose heat and I'm going to just sit down and cry...

& I have 4 packs of smarties left... not bags... pack... :sad2:

I need a sunny day and a good phone call from the right person to tell me when I'm traveling and then the world will be better.

Thanks for the rant...

Goodnight:hug: Hopefully tomorrow will be a great day:goodvibes I'm off work tomorrow (I guess it's actually today now:rolleyes: ) and had planned on going out to shop for clothes, swimsuits etc, but am thinking at this point that I will go to bed soon and sleep in, I'm exhausted from work lately and we are having nasty winter weather here too. It is still snowing, but at least the freezing drizzle has stopped.
