I do have a question about tips again.

Someone said that you tip more you get better service ... of course this makes sense, but don't you tip at the end of the cruise?

We've only done 4-nights before. Do you tip midway through on a longer cruise like ours or at the end?

If you tip at the end, how do they know that they will do better than the recommended tip?

Oh if you meant me and what I said "tipping more for better service" I meant I prepay what dcl suggests BUT I will tip more at the end to those that far exceeded my expectations. Besides I think if you bribe them with little goodies along the way you will get really great service.

I would think that the possibility of getting a higher tip would drive CMs to give great service. I think also service levels from the CMs depend on how you treat them...if you're friendly and outgoing they are probably more likely to do more for you (or with more good feelings). I don't know if this is right or not....but to quote Noel "just my thoughts" (miss you Noel )

Hi, miss you guys. Well, we had to admit Frank (DFIL) back into the hospital this morning. I am sitting at his bedside now typing on the bberry. He has a very sick stomach and a high fever. They think it is his gall bladder. While in the emergency room he got the worst case of the hiccups and they have given some drugs but he still has the hiccups.

His roommate is crazy. He is screaming and yelling all kinds of crazy stuff. He looks like he is very old and very sick. He should be in a private room. The nurse said they are trying to get an order for meds to calm him. Oh what a nightmare.

It has been mentioned before and I think on previous Disney cruises there was nothing special. Shame. We could be surprised though.

We're also trying to dream up some way to get together while on Castaway Cay and do some kind of rememberance/tribute to our moms who have passed.

I haven't come up with anything other than a 'toast' at Heads Up bar. Thought about tossing flowers/petals into the ocean at Serenity Bay...don't know if they'd let us do that.....don't know if they'd let us take flowers off the ship. Anybody have any ideas?

I do have to say both CM's I spoke with we absolutely fantastic....so nice, and really took time to answer my questions...not so the feeling I get when I call WDW sometimes!

Ya know... I just got off the phone with WDW dining and while in the end she was very helpful... I sort of got scolded for double booking ressies because I didn't know if my niece was coming with me in April... I felt so guilty until I booked CG for din din...

Sunday the 25th is a black out date. However, I think you could buy a one day pass for Sunday, go to guest services inside DL and have that money applied to an AP and still go on Sunday. Does that make sense?

we have had to take our deluxe aps to the ticket window to get a daily ticket. they may do this at the hotel counter, I think the one time we did this we stayed at best western. call and ask

OK, all this cruise chat has gotten me sail-crazy! So I cracked yesterday and booked a (non-DCL) cruise in 24 days.... no husband, no kids... just a friend and I.
Everyone thinks I'm crazy.... but we're getting hit with yet another snow storm! I'm so outta here!

Doug and I would like to introduce Mickey's Mouse better known as Mickey. He came home today and right now is telling us in no uncertain terms that we should be paying attention to him and not the Dis. The cats aren't quite sure what to make of him.

I must be getting ill...I came home jogged, went for some laps in the pool and then the girls joined me and we swam for a bit....had some nice chicken, green beans and au gratin potatoes for dinner...the girls are in bed....not asleep and John is on his way to softball.

If I did all that, I know I would be ill.

so if I get the router...can I network in to my home pc...meaning access my files and photos etc? I think I am going to pick a linxys up on the way home tomorrow.

I think you can turn on file sharing in Windows, but it would be a better question for one of the Windows genius' to answer.
