OK I am putting this out to the universe...

If you are going to cancel your Canopy Adventure in PV please pm me first. We are short one spot for Ann and to boot its her "50th" birthday! So please keep us in mind if you are going cancel so I can try and get the one extra spot we need. Thank you for reading my plea! :worship: :worship:

Are there other (non Disney) canopy excursions to book? All the Disney ones are gone, but Chuck and Mike really want to do it!

Doug and I would like to introduce Mickey's Mouse better known as Mickey. He came home today and right now is telling us in no uncertain terms that we should be paying attention to him and not the Dis. The cats aren't quite sure what to make of him.

He is adorable!!!!!!:thumbsup2  :woohoo: :yay: :cheer2:

Thank you for the link. I would have thought it was some other British noun that I did not understand.

Neat idea. Do you know someone who has one Ian? How do they like it?

It was someone (an unnamed Canadian) who turned me on to the Chumby.

It was love at first site for me. It has everything going for it:

  • It's electronic
  • It's Internet enabled
  • It has wifi
  • It's cute
  • It's S Q U I S H Y
I knew almost at once I HAD to have one.

  • It will replace a creaking old radio in my kitchen.
  • I am planning to stream radio through it (NPR of course).
  • Use it as a clock.
  • Stream iTunes through it.
  • Have it display the weather.
  • Have it display my trip countdown.
  • Have it cycle through photos in it's spare time acting as an electronic picture frame.
One has to name a Chumby. You assign it a name when you register it with on the Chumby network (the name can always be changed).

I have decided to name my Chumby, "Mrs. Bennett."

On another note .... I was asked what the toaster and coffee maker were named. They are not named ... at the moment .....

You have though given me a very good idea.

I think Margaret would suit the coffee maker and Ethel might suit the toaster.

"Damn it Ethel! You burned the toast! Again! I swear, if you don't shape up soon, I'm going to dump you and start cruising Target to pickup someone else!"

.

hey Ian who is she travelling with? Fedex and she will be visiting TN, ups she will be visiting KY.

PJ

Mrs. Bennett is travelling via UPS, so I guess she'll have a lay over in KY, and she'd better well mind her manners and not go carousing.

ok, so I'm not even going to try to catch up here.

been busy with school--had another exam yesterday and got an A (Whoo Hoo!!) clinicals start this week, which means I'm going to be in care plan hell. but with every one I write, that's one less week until the cruise!!!!!!!

started making plans for hotels and car rentals this weekend. whoever mentioned the choice certificate for the Hyatt-thanks worked like a charm so far and saved me 75 bucks. found a hotel in SAn Diego for after the cruise, all that's left is to call enterprise for a rental car in LA....

Great job on the exam Kari!! :cool1: :yay: :woohoo:

I like ethel for the toaster. Thats too funny.:rotfl2:

I do have a question about tips again.

Someone said that you tip more you get better service ... of course this makes sense, but don't you tip at the end of the cruise?

We've only done 4-nights before. Do you tip midway through on a longer cruise like ours or at the end?

If you tip at the end, how do they know that they will do better than the recommended tip?

Of course we can do the Photo Op.

I'm checking to see if Sukie and I can have our appearance times posted in the Navigator along with the other characters.

Especially when Mickey & Minnie are dressed up in their formal wear...

Yesterday I went to Joanne's with my coupons from the Sunday paper and bought what I need to fashion my Champagne Girls Tink outfit. Since I don't sew (don't even have a sewing machine) I'm going to be "cutting and pasting" or maybe I should say "cutting and gluing" it together!:lmao: The only thing I won't have is Tink's hair--I'll be Tink's graying mother, or grandmother!:scared1:

I sure hope I signed up to be a Champagne Girl!!! I have all the STUFF!

I would think that the possibility of getting a higher tip would drive CMs to give great service. I think also service levels from the CMs depend on how you treat them...if you're friendly and outgoing they are probably more likely to do more for you (or with more good feelings). I don't know if this is right or not....but to quote Noel "just my thoughts" (miss you Noel:hug: )

I think they need to feel like if they don't give excellent service, they don't have a chance of getting a better tip. We have always given more that the recommended amount - we've never had bad service on any cruise. I think they know that is their only way to get more.

Here's a ? for the computer/techie/electronics gurus on here...

I am looking to get a piece of equipment that will allow me to transfer my cassettes (admit it...we all have those) to cds....can anyone help me???? (without breaking the bank)

What the weather like in May as I have been told that the weather will be cold when we arrive LA? What is the temperature for May? As I need to know for packing as we are staying there for 3 nights.
Thanks Scottishwee35

Daytime weather is usually pleasant in May, but it can cool down in the evening. A sweater or sweatshirt should suffice.

Joseph
