Next time someone goes to DL can they pick up the park maps for me? They can bring them to the ship(I'm in the lifeboat) or mail them to my house. Thanks!

you belong to the same cult. doesn't count.:scared:

I always count!

Posting from my BlackBerry while Sophia dances, and listening to a podcast
! I am liking this thing more and more! Trying to figure out how to FF though . . .

We were on the EB Med and then returned for the Med Cruise July 17. I kinda had a nightly ritual of going into the sports bar, picking up my tortilla chips, guacomole and sour cream and then taking it over to Rockin Bar D. Maybe you just missed it?

Maybe too much drinkin??????? :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Umm...me too much drinking:rotfl2: I did find the snacks outside rockin bar d but they weren't no drunk people food...it was more sophisticated snacks...don't they know when you've been drinking and need to crawl 3 flights up the back stairs to get to your room, all you want is greasy soak up the alcohol food! :rotfl:
Do you like my special english above...and I'm leaving it, cause thats how I said it in my head!
Ok a ? for you DL people - Can you tell me about the Carnation Cafe, the Redd Rocket, and the River bell Terrace restuarants?

Carnation Cafe is mostly sandwiches. Good tuna! Redd Rockets Pizza Port is pizza, pasta and salad 0 I love their pasta! The River Bell Terrace I've only been to for breakfast - love those Mickey pancakes! Carnation Cafe is on Main Street; Redd Rockets is in Tomorrowland and River Bell Terrance is by Indiana Jones in Adventureland.

I actually prefer the Plaza Inn - they have the BEST broasted chicken - it's amazing!
I agree with all of the above...and have to add that if you want pizza, redd rockets always has a special pizza, not just cheese, pepp and veggie. It's always good. Plus your discount AP or DVC works there.
Also, if you go into California Adventure and want lunch..try Boudin down at the pier. Yummy bread bowl soups and salads..but especially the soups!

I think I had you pegged all along, and you notice that I'm :lmao: too! I'm right there with ya sister!
Where's our third bad girl?

OK I am putting this out to the universe...

If you are going to cancel your Canopy Adventure in PV please pm me first. We are short one spot for Ann and to boot its her "50th" birthday! So please keep us in mind if you are going cancel so I can try and get the one extra spot we need. Thank you for reading my plea! :worship: :worship:
Try calling DCL...sometimes they magically find a space. :wizard:

For all of those in the lifebaots with me, I thought you would like to see our accomodations -

Looks pretty plush to me!

We live about 30 min from DL and it will probably be hot. A few years ago we went wine tasting on May 21 and I remember it was over 100. I'm not saying it is always that hot but I think shorts will be fine. If you are a cold person you could pack a sweater.

However, you need to plan on having some layered clothes of some kind (a jacket and such) because once we left Cabo the weather turned cool and the morning we came into the port it was COLD and FOGGY and MISTY and I had my coat on and it was still COLD!

OK, all this cruise chat has gotten me sail-crazy! So I cracked yesterday and booked a (non-DCL) cruise in 24 days.... no husband, no kids... just a friend and I.:dance3:
Everyone thinks I'm crazy.... but we're getting hit with yet another snow storm! I'm so outta here!

I am LMAO! I love your attitude! So where are you headed on your cruise you booked? :yay:

Are you speaking of Alex's favorite spot every night??? outside of Rockin Bar D between 10-11pm the shrimp, chips, small sandwiches, etc... For the first few nights I couldn't figure it out until I made him take me with him for his "Night Snack".... any questions on where and when food just ask Alex, rufustee, he knows that stuff in his sleep...:lmao: :lmao:

So does Robert. He is also the guy that thinks we have "Family Style" dining around our table each night and he orders at least 2 appetizers and a minimum of 2 entrees each night!

Tips and Extras

I am thinking about adding money to our on board account now, for the extras on the cruise.

How much do you think the tips will run for the 15-nights?

(PS - I've had no updates on the whereabouts of Mrs. Bennett. All I know is that she's somewhere between Anchorage and Chicago. I've already cleared out a spot on the kitchen counter for her in anxious anticipation of her arrival!)

hey Ian who is she travelling with? Fedex and she will be visiting TN, ups she will be visiting KY.

(but I would do 2 entrees and all the desserts)

Doug and I would like to introduce Mickey's Mouse better known as Mickey. He came home today and right now is telling us in no uncertain terms that we should be paying attention to him and not the Dis. The cats aren't quite sure what to make of him.

How cute!

Fairfield by Marriott, right across the street from the entrance next to McD's. Much cheaper and we don't spend any time at the hotel at all.

That's kinda what I do. If I have family coming who will want to spend time at the hotel unwinding we book bigger rooms at GC. If it is just me doing a little trip I am super frugal. I use Priceline a lot for Anaheim. Super cheap rooms. Most of the time though I use Paradise Pier since my kids like the lilo and stitch breakfast they have there.

If any of you are getting a rental car and can get around a bit you might want to consider a Priceline hotel. I usually pay just $40-$45 dollars a night for a three star (highest for Disney area). I for some reason always get the same hotel the Crowne Plaza. Very nice and for $40 you can't beat it and the internet price on it is $135! Now it is not a hotel you can walk to the parks from. I have seen people walking but it is way down the street so no way I would do it. They do have the shuttle from there but I just drive into the parks and use the parking garage.

Okay, time to go meet with the tax man and hopefully getting a BIG BIG REFUND!

Sooooo cute! I had a mini longhaired red dach. that I just loved. Enjoy him, he looks so cuddly!

I must be getting ill...I came home jogged, went for some laps in the pool and then the girls joined me and we swam for a bit....had some nice chicken, green beans and au gratin potatoes for dinner...the girls are in bed....not asleep and John is on his way to softball.

Is everyone staying at a DL hotel. We are staying at Candy Cane Inn since we will only be there one day.I am thinking in 2009 going to DL, SW, USH, and seeing California in general.

The Candy Cane is SOOOOO convenient to the parks (closer to the entrance than the Disneyland Hotel)!

What is everyone wearing for the Champagne girls tasting? I have to buy a pik outfit and was looking for some ideas.
Kathie

Pink t-shirt, tiarra and lime green boa (I think).
