Wow, that looks like a really cool vaction spot. Tyler will love going there. So would I for that matter. I've always wanted to do a western ranch vacation. don't know if I could be as daring as Tyler on the bull, but I could do the horse back anytime.

It will be sort of a trial run. I eventually want to take him out to Wyoming where I lived for about 6 months (near Jackson). In fact, Jackson is where I went to my first rodeo and fell in love with ALL cowboys! I've been telling him about my favorite hike out there when I was staying in the Grand Tetons. He seems pretty excited about all the outdoor adventure, but I think we'll wait until he's a couple years older since he gets so tired all the time. But then again, I'd really rather just do things as soon as we're able to just because you never know what life has in store. So maybe spring of '09. I'd like for us to stay at the resort where I lived & worked my whole time out there - Signal Mountain Lodge. http://foreverlodging.com/lodging.cfm?PropertyKey=69. I know we talked about this on our first thread here, but it's such a beautiful place, I can't help but share again! My dream is to live somewhere in that area some day.

For those who are doing the scrapbooking class with SEAULATER, you could get those autographs on the pages of the book, take photos with those friends, make a little note on each page of which photo you want to put in there and when the photos are printed, glue then over the note. Make your own CRUISEBOOK.

On our Sept cruise we got addresses and e-mails of our tablemates!

Ok I so want to steal everyones ideas on this. I want to make a Dis Cruisebook with everyones pictures and autographs. Heck I already have Mickey and Minnies now I just need one from everybody else. I will have to see if people don't mind me running up and taking photos paparazzi style. Speaking of pictures am I the only one that thinks the photo pass system really needs to be in place on the ships? Kinda creepy to me that other people can buy your vacation pictures if they wanted to from Shutters.

It's wise to be cautious.

We knew someone who was part of a Disney collectors group. He publicly mentioned his vacation plans. While he was away, his house was burglarized and most of his collection was stolen.

Wow that is so sad to hear. Very un Disneylike behavior to say the least! I have someone staying at my place while I am away since so many do know I am going on this cruise. Plus I have a video surveillance system I had put in a while back that I can access from the internet as well. Honestly I worry more about someone breaking in while I am home then when I am away. My children are priceless and for everything else there is insurance.

We have "somewhat" finalized our plans for WDW pre-cruise.

We are arriving Thursday on a redeye at 6am (3am to us)

We will pick up our minivan, take advantage of early check-in, eat the free (very nice) breakfast and then ... go to sleep for a few hours.

We are then heading to DTD and Disney Quest. The kids really want to "make and ride their own rollercoasters". I never knew this was available, so it should be lots of fun. We will spend most of the day at DTD, then off to Walmart and a liquor store for last minute things like aerosol Solarcaine (we always burn), Malibu Rum and other "essential items". Maybe find a mini-golf after dinner.

Friday we are heading to Animal Kingdom (okay we may still swap for Typhoon Lagoon), and will head to the Radisson at the Port for the evening.

Who else is staying at the Radisson???

This sounds like a great plan!! You and your kids will like Make Your Own Roller Coaster. I can't ride Roller Coasters....but kids love it and have they have done it many many times!!!

In the Terms and Conditions of the DCL Vacations 2007-2008 brochure (the one with the DVD inside), p56, it says:

"Each Guest may bring aboard the ship a reasonable amount of clothing and personal effects without charge, not to exceed two bags per person."​

And in the information pack that we received recently, in the 'Setting Sail - Disney Magic' booklet, on p3 it says:

"Grab your suitcases (no more than two (2) per person please)."​

From what others have said on the board, it would seem DCL don't enforce this. But as it is in the T&Cs, then they could at any time. Or I suppose they could start charging for any extra bags, like the airlines do.

Well I knew there was a reason I was bringing my two kids with me!

Not getting enough of my DIS fix and rushing through the posts with Amy gone, but this will have to do. Went back to work today, and it is a LOT easier to do all this stuff when not working!

Was not a good day at the office either, but that's another story.

I love love love the notebook. Went to see it in the theater and had a feeling...so I grabbed about 20 napkins from the snack bar. Everyone (men included) was crying, including myself heavily. I have rewatched it and still cry every time. If you haven't seen this movie...I truly recommend. It's a wonderful movie for adults.


Giving us a nickname already! We had a great time too. Taylor wants to do another mini meet before the trip. We'll have to see if we can plan something in April. There's a cool place in pleasanton called Super Franks, we can have all the kids come, indoor golf, dodge ball. Just a thought.....

Because I'm home from work today, I had the opportunity to call Cruise Line Formal and inquire about the rental of tails.

It was really sort of funny. I asked about a Disney Cruise and said I was interested in renting tails, and the woman thought I want to rent a tail, as in rent a mouse tail.

The long and short of it is, they do not rent tails or cut-away jackets. Just what they show in their catalogue.

I'm rather disappointed. I was really looking forward to wearing tails. I had visions of a 1930's Hollywood movie.

This is what I had in mind:

You mean I can't rent a mouse tail? We all need to call and ask for them.
