It's a week since I sent an email to Tom McAlpin and I haven't heard anything, not even a mass produced reply. Should I just leave it, send it again or another one?

To be honest I did expect some kind of response. It was not a ranting email at all.

John1 would definitely send another one and mention that the first one was not answered. And I would do it too. So you should write another one and send it. Let us know what you decide.

My kids do a LOT of musical theater. Our last show, Alison played the female lead part and after the show we discovered that a "friend" had given another "friend" Alison's cell phone number and she was receiving text messages from several strange boys! I was perusing her phone one day and found these new contacts with names like "Creepy Tim" and "Stalker Stephen!"

I almost had a heart attack. Fortunately it turned out that we knew the families of the boys, (they were siblings of other kids in the show) but it was really kind of scary for a time there. Needless to say, she had to immediately text them all and said she wasn't allowed to accept texts from people she hadn't met and it's all good (except that now they're all trying to figure out how to meet her so they can get on the "approved" list!)

What is it about girls who sing that make boys come out of the woodwork to try to meet them??? YIKES! I think David is out buying some new baseball bats even as we speak.....

i have designed a t-shirt that shows the dreaded fishes but also includes the cruise date and pirate mickey an its a DIS green T-shirt. i can't figure out how to post a pic of it,(apparently i am dis-board challenged but i will bring it to the dis meet on sunday mar16 at DL. i can post the pic if some1 can PM on how to do this! i can provide these at only the cost of t-shirt and transfers!!!

Hi Deborah-no, we only went to Mexico with DCL and completely regretted not doing the PC, which is why we didn't hesitate booking this cruise! Can't wait!!

Actually - we say the Ironman this weekend - I cannot imagine the challenge - not for the atheletes but for the regular folks....

my idea of a marathon.

OK - I am not that bad....Plan on hitting the gym while on the ship and doing some walking...

I have an Ironman t-shirt from comic con last year. Someone recently asked me when I competed I had to explain it's for an upcoming movie.

I have come to the realization that I'm not going to be able to wear my two new dresses for formal nights on this cruise. I'm glad I got them two sizes smaller and that I have them. I'll save them for a future day. It's going to take me longer than the time I have left before this cruise to lose the weight I need to lose. I'm not losing it like I was before I stopped smoking. I've stuck to my diet strictly this week and didn't lose anything. Because I noticed that I have replaced cigarettes with food. I constantly eat cheerios and I'll have two diet snacks a day instead of one and I'll have a fruit and a yogurt instead of one or the other. I'm still dieting strictly, but I'm eating continuously. That will slow down over time, but I'm still new at this not smoking thing....and I need the cheerios and food for now.

I guess I'll be wearing my old dresses to formal nights this cruise. I'll save my new dresses for another cruise and strive to get there at a later time. I'm not going to make it in the next two months.

It'll come. You aren't gaining, so that is super. My dad chewed gum constantly when he quit smoking. That was long before the days of nicotine gum, so he just had to settle for regular gum. And he was always sucking on hard candy. Anything to keep his mouth occupied with something other than his pipe. It is hard, but keep it up. We're all so proud of you.

Hi Venetia, thanks for the compliment on the shirt...it will look nice with my pink one.

Normally we have the truck to dig us out, even though 4 inches is not a lot, but when it's up the side of a small mountain it is and we're at the bottom of the mountain.....my neighbor Mike is at the top and we're next door on the bottom 3 acres.....and my driveway is all uphill or downhill depending on which direction you're traveling.....with lots of trees on both sides. John has been going to work but parking the car on the bottom and walking up. That's hard on dry land, forget about it in snow.

We have to get our truck fixed and then I need to order new glasses. I still have not found mine. I give up. I know they're in the house but I have no idea where. It was dark in here when they disappeared.

How are you and Bubba? Any trips to DL lately?

Hope evryone had a good weekend. We were busy - hence no posting on Sunday - gasp....

I saw a question on dressing for the Tropical and Mexican nights -- Pirate goes without saying. Tropical is no brainer for us, our normal wear - in fact - although we do have Disney tropical outfits...

What does one wear for Mexican night????

We're not bothering with dressing special for Mexican night. We are dressing for Tropical and Pirate nights only. I didn't want to buy something I know we would only wear once.
Edited to Add: I forgot to mention we have matching Disney torpical outfits too! DH has agreed to wear matching clothes for one night only. LOL

Karl-you need to upload the picture to a server, such as photobucket.com. Once you have it there you can copy the link and include it in your post and voila, the picture is there.

Lisa, I love this idea. Kind of like a high school year book. I'm doing the travel journal this trip. I didn't last cruise and I still kick myself for not doing one. We still need to decorate our FE. I have started packing the stuff I will ship ahead. Oh, I have to call the Hyatt MCO and find out if I can ship a box to them too.

I regret not doing the autograph book on our last cruise as it would have been so cool to look back through.

I'll post pictures after I finish altering the book I picked up. (Actually a spiral bound 4x6 photo album)

Thanks Jan.....so sweet of you to say. The legs are ok but not great. The edema is worse than the wound. I'm waiting for my boot to come.

I love Angel and I think she is getting better. John does not like her. She doesn't listen like our last dog, Gandalf, used to and she follows him all over the house whenever he gets up. She loves him. But she is still learning. She knocked over the kitty litter bag after she ate a hole in it on the bottom and now it's all over the floor. Gotta love her.

I did get a phone call form a staffer. Picked up the message on my home phone three days after it was left. (don't use the home phone for much except internet connection - dial up!! AAARRRRHHH) She had left a call back number and I did call and speak with her. She offered to book Palo for me, I told her that was not my interest, my interest was in getting someone at a high level to FIX the problem. She assured they would be working on it. We will see.
