I took about a 20 min nap, and am off to help Tyler find things that start with letter "o" for his homework page for this weekend. A different letter page comes home every Friday, so by the time I pick him up from his dad's Saturday evening, we usually don't have much time to get it done, so it's our weekly Sunday chore. Yuck. It seems like we must be close to being done with the alphabet! Sometimes I skip it and double up the following weekend. I've tried to ask his dad to do them sometimes so it doesn't all fall on me, but he says it's Tyler's responsibility to remember to bring his backpack in from the truck after school and if he doesn't remember, it his dad won't even see the homework. Well, yeah, it's good to teach Tyler to be responsible for his things, but good grief! :headache:

I use a Sony Vaio and I love it. I have a smaller one that is able to fit in my purse. That is a big pluse for me. :thumbsup2

Wow - a computer and purse. See John, we can come to a compromise! :rotfl2:

Ok...

So what do I do first...

Log in and get my oh so easy ressies for Palo and excursions or do I just start my Dear. Mr. McAlpin letter right now??? :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Morning All! John...Jaide and I have read all of the HP books except the last one together. Of course I need to read them first because I couldn't stop every few chapters without knowing what happens next :lmao: V, what great memories!

One thing we started doing was downloading books on tape to our ipods and listening to them on road trips. Right now we are almost done with Peter and The Star Catchers....if you have not read this one yet....it is a must read! It is about how Peter became Peter Pan........
http://www.peterandthestarcatchers.com/ Oh my, I just went there and realized that there is now a 3rd book in the series....better get reading again!
Wow, that sounds so cool! I'll check into that tonight. I'll bet Tyler would love it!

Good Luck To those trying to get on the DCL website tonight for ressies!

Thank you.... and if we don't make it... I'll be applying for disability due to the fish that I constantly see...

:scared:

Well, I think we'll save letter "o" homework for tomorrow night. Tyler's anxious to clean the living room and that's much more important right now because it's been a mess for weeks. SO....I'm off to help him clean! You all will be on a new thread by the time I catch up tonight after he's in bed, so I"ll see you on the next one! :lmao:

. . . Yes, you can see it right from the ship as you enter the port. And if history repeats itself, the ship will be turning around in circles for about 30 minutes trying to get the anchor "unseized" (not sure on the spelling), and you will get plenty of pictures, PLUS you can walk from your stateroom to dinner at about a 45 degree angle. (The anchor did NOT come up all the way when we were trying to leave Cabo, so we got to be at the mercy of the Captain while he tried creative ways to get it up into the ship!)
Linda - Thanks for the info.

Did the anchor get stuck on the 2005 Western PC? DW remembers the ship at a tilt, but did not know why.

How many people think they will release more times tonight? I wonder how they would do it...whether there is someone working on Sunday and will open up more times? Lisa

The Disney photo of the day thread came back this week, it has seven parts of 250 pages now, we were bigger then that, I think they are working from small long thread to big long threads.

Pj

Well, in that case... we should be done with the cruise by the time the get to putting up our old thread!!!

Maybe I'll get my own event going ...

"Shots Around The Ship"

of course , I'm in

No Kidding!!! OH yeah...I'm in too!!! :thumbsup2 :thumbsup2

We ended up not going to CEC. Tyler asked if we can go tomorrow instead because he wanted to show me the new Army stuff his dad bought him at the PX. ;) He's SO into camo, he got out his scissors when we got home and turned the camo shopping bag into a vest! :lmao:

How was the circus? We've gone the last 2 springs and are looking forward to it coming again soon.

Holly...everything is CAMO now... I had to break it to my nephew that his camo shirt didn't go with his camo shorts!!! :rotfl2: (different color camos...not good...)

Should I start getting a list up for the "Shots Around the Ship" gang?

Oh... I gues..... :rotfl:

I just showed Tyler the Hawaiian clothes on the site Deb & Marilyn posted the link for. Here's what he picked:

Tell Tyler I think he's going to look great in that!!!

You are probably too young, but out in the burbs there was a great hot dog stand called Hippos.

I cringe when I see someone put ketchup on a dog. :scared1:

I'm sorry but because of a nun in 3rd grade... I can't do mustard... :sad2:

I just want to get in once... just for Palo and Excursions.. it's my first cruise and I just want the chance...

So I guess I'll start praying now...

Yup! ::yes:: remember quite well - I was running around trying to get my right angle picture of the arch (I'd forgotten I'd already taken the tour then) But the angle sorta felt like you had a head cold and your ears were stuffed up. There were a couple of people on deck 10 having fun making up scenarios on how the capt was going to get the anchor up - the strongest was that they were going to get some CM's in wet suits and they were going to "unstick" the anchor - hey - we were bored - what can I say? :confused3

I think they really should open more. It just doesn't make sense to tell customers you can sign up before the cruise, but then not have 1 time available....here's wishing you a lot of pixiedust:

I used to take the Norwalk bus from the city to end of the line Bolsa Chica then "walk" to HB pier. . .

However, it wasn't until the later years when older Dsister found The Cliffs
Wow, I remember The Cliffs from high school.

Shots Around The Ship - A Stem to Stern Extravaganza

If you are interested in "Shots Around the Ship" (and no, I don't mean tetanus shots) please send me an email and I'll compile a list. We'll do it one evening after all the shows, entertainment, kids in bed, husbands in bed, wives in bed, whatever ...

Just shoot me an email (if you know my email address). If not (since I don't want to post it here), just go to my Mouse Manager site (http://www.mousemanager.com/contact/contact.php) and fill out the contact form.

Let's get this extravaganza going!

PS - Very excited, I just checked UPS, Mrs. Bennett has arrived in Alaska from overseas and is now starting her journey to Chicago.

Great! I'll email you...I think I might have missed something. Who is Mrs. Bennett? Sorry if I should know. I'm a bit slow!
