A sincere note to all of our 105 & 90 Dayers....

We the small group of poor unfortunate 75 dayers will be venturing into fish infested waters as of midnight on the 25th...

We are a smaller group than all of you lucky CC members of the past. We have yet to experience the Magic of the Magic... The Wonder of the Wonder...the... Mickey bars delivered to our room 24 hours a day...

We are jumping into virgin waters (don't laugh Nan... ) We are set to fight the fish fight...to survive to the very last fish or until we all fall asleep at our keyboards...

We will of course learn from all of your experiences and injest lots of caffeine and sugar...wear our warmest jammies and try not to wake the entire neighborhood if I get even the first number of my reservation entered before the site goes down...

It is my sincere hope that you will all be gentle with us when you also try to fight to get those elusive Palo ressies on the very first time we can actually do more than dream about it.

Please leave us in our caffeine and Smarties induced Haze to fight the fishes alone...

Please give us newbies a chance...

No, but I think I was the first to mention her on this thread.

Gossipgirl is (was) a teen DISer, who basically just made what felt like a million posts, everywhere, asking for people to post pictures of "Twice Charmed". Don't know what the fascination was, don't know why she's no longer on the DIS. I found her amusing because she'd post and then 20 minutes later ask why people were not responding...the impatience of youth!

Well - it appears I may be able to stay caught up today.....with the weather in the Northeast, flights are being delayed/cancelled left & right.

I am right now on hold w/ Continental - need to reaccommodate someone who is flying to India tomorrow....the wait time they quoted me was.....

Happy Friday everyone. I've just been reading and not posting much because of the same old excuse of not having any time! I hope everyone is doing well and not stressing out about Sunday as much as me! Anyway, someone asked me a good question today and maybe you all know. Can you wear shorts (docker type) on tropical and Mexican night? I heard anything goes on pirate night so I was just wondering.

I don't know the answer to this, but my best guess would be yes to the shorts on tropical night.

Funny! Tyler already tells me things he doesn't want his dad to know. Tricky situation....never sure whether I should insist he tells his dad and explain that we both need to know what's going on with him, or whether I should think it's a good thing that he feels comfortable telling me things and not risk losing that trust. I suppose some things can be Tyler's and my secret. He needs to know he can tell me anything....needs to have one parent he can turn to always. And I'm sure at some point his dad will become the one he tells things too only because we all know there are things a teenaged boy won't want to discuss with mom!

It may always be you. DGS18 discusses all that stuff with me. Of course he also talks to Grandpa, but has no shyness about talking with me also. He's a weird kid though.

Are you because you think something bad had to happen to someone in order for that last scene to happen? REMEMBER, this is LOST...it ain't necessarily so!



Michelle, I'll be staying off, as I'm linked with a 'newbie' and don't want to inadvertently lock her out. But lots of the CC people were unable to get on at all and are going to want to take a shot at possible new openings for excursions/Palo that were sold out when they finally did get on. I really think it won't be anywhere near as many people that tried at 90 days though. If it were me, I'd focus on excursions first, as it seems Palo is easier to arrange once you are on the ship.

...well, didn't open that book....got trapped on the Community Board .

Don't know if anyone is looking for a small, good point and shoot but this was posted on another thread. I have both this camera and the 770SW. The major difference between the two cameras is that the 770 does underwater shots up to 33 ft and the 790 does up to 10 ft.

The important part of this camera is that if any of you are like me - I tend to drop things or else anything electronic tends stop working for me - the 770/790SW has a feature that makes it shockproof from 5ft. I am just under 5'4" so if it falls from my neck down - it is covered. I've taken some shots with this camera and the 770SW if anyone is interested in seeing what it can do. For the price is is a great camera. It does use XD cards as compared to an SD card but that is nothing major.

The reason for markdowns? Olympus is coming out with newer versions come March - those cameras the 840SW and the 1030SW will be 10 megapixels and shockproof from 6 ft. The will retail around $400.

These cameras about 1 month ago were retailing for about $269-$300. Just saw the 770SW at Sam's club today for $269.99 - as is! So if your in the market - and don't mind a later model - this might be a great little camera for ya! Cheap too. BTW, these models are 7.1 megapixels.

Never mind think I will enclose a shot of my youngest - this is April at Seal Beach in California - last Friday. It was shot about 4:30 pm on Snow/Beach mode. It is relatively easy to change modes -just a flip of a dial. It was shot with the 790SW.

If anyone has any questions, just let me know would be happy to answer them if I can. I've had the best luck with Olympus on point and shoots.

Nice picture. Seal Beach is one of my old stomping grounds. Not too much stomping though, because I was 8, 9 & 10 y/o when we lived at Sunset Beach, on the Island, before Huntington Harbor. Is what we used to call RAY BAY still there? We used to body surf there. Had to slide our feet because there were a lot of Stingrays there. It was between the jetties, by the old power plant. Memories. (sigh).
