You 75 dayers should not have nearly so much trouble since there are not as many. There are just so many repeaters on these special cruises and DCL needs to plan for that.

I figure that I'll only have to spend 2 & 1/2 hours watching the darned... :fish: :fish: :fish: (unless you 90 dayers come and keep us company!!! (please don't... we do love you... but we need a chance!!! (is that enough begging???))

Unless they did indeed outsource it and have contract issues to deal with.

Buy THAT contract out!!!!

maybe someone can answer this, if I have my TA add on the prepaid tips, can I pay x amount each week until they are paid off or do I have to pay the amount in full now?

I "prepaid" my tips through Dreams Unlimited but all they really did was have me give them money to add to my onboard account. I will have to pop into Guest Services to tell them I want them prepaid once onboard.

OK EVERYONE...

TRIED AND TRUE NATURAL WAY OF GETTING RID OF KIDNEY STONES!!!!

(It's tried because I tried it and it's true because dam(n) IT WORKED!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Just thought I'd catch anyone on here who has had to suffer with the wonderful malady called the dreaded KS....

After 3 painful weeks of trying everything I could (including going to the Dr...)I found this on the internet - under home remedies...

You take

3 oz of EVOO (Extra Virgin Olive Oil as Rachel Ray says...)

&

4 oz concentrated lemon juice. (I used the Real Lemon one - tastes the best and it comes in a bigger bottle...)

Mix the two together really good...

And drink...

It's not the best taste, but it's really not that bad..(the lemon helps...) they say you can put in sugar if you don't like sour things.. I personally grew up sucking lemons because my mom had to suck lemons when she was pregnant with me (blocked gland) so it's not too bad. The lemon juice will either break it up or take the edgier parts off and the EVOO just makes it slide better...

And Hey.... my skin has been looking really good in the last week!!!

They say to repeat every 8 hours until pain has passed.

Good luck!!!

We now return you to your regularly scheduled program...
:rolleyes1

That cruise was a lucky one for us, too. I started emailing with Mommaluvsdis after talking with her on the boards. We ended up linking with them and some others for dinner. They live in LA and we have become good friends, calling and emailing on a regular basis. Went to WDW and a 7 night with them in Sept/Oct of last year and are planning on going to St. Thomas with them next year. They were going to come on this cruise but things came up. We have decided we are soul sisters. There really must have been a lot of pixiedust: going around on that cruise. I am sure there will be a lot on this cruise too. :flower3:

Carol

Oh Darn - Denise isn't coming anymore? Meet her on the 11 -night too - watch - when you see me - your going to say - oh that was you! :lmao:

Isn't it amazing how close two strangers clear across the country are? :goodvibes

Proper? Hey, we're THEIVES pirate: TAKE WHAT YOU CAN! pirate:

.

GIVE NOTHING BACK!!!

OMG! Not here too! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

But if you give the kid a few pins and one of your spare, old lanyards, he can do some trading and have fun WITHOUT Mom and Dad spending the money. it would be fun on the cruise if you see the kid again to see what he has traded for each time.

Jan :earsgirl:

That's right I wasn't thinking so excited and hadn't feed the brain yet so I was just rushing around like a chicken w/o a head.

She won 1st place at the school level and Fairfax County and then she got 1st place in the district. Now she is competing for States.....pretty cool!! There was a ceremony today and she was embarrassed. She usually loves to be in the spotlight.

Congrats Gretchen!

So I guess walmart cards would be best if this is the only place DCL busses them. So if I make a little list of things cast members would like to get it would be:

Walmart gift cards
books
dvds
candy
food

What else can I add that people have given that was well liked?

You know - I've given of my stateroom hosts a small picture of us - I ran into one host that was our stateroom host on deck 2 on deck 7 some 3 yrs later - and he remembered me! Went and told our then stateroom host to take care of us and continually checked up on us. I thought that was so nice. So you can try that route! I usually print up a small picture of us and put it on a magnet with the sailing date. Or else I buy a small magnet in port and "sign" it and give it to them.

Or if your "giving" away fish gifts and you have any extras - they sure like them. On the Med repo I had a couple of DIS magnets left over - I asked my stateroom host if he wanted one - don't know why - he didn't know my DIS name - but he jumped at the chance. Course it had a picture of the Magic on in with Mickey and Minnie cartoon character on it. :)

ummm no.. But my DH would love that. I was a sales person and then a nutritionist at Nutri/Systems. Kind of stressfull actually. I know I could never sell to anyone again who was that desperate. The people that came in would give everything they have. There were several who I knew could not afford it and were taking money thier families needed. I told them to go home and call the local hospital for a group there. I wasn't the worlds greatest salesperson...

But that makes you a better human being! :yay:

have you done this gydell? I have read posts of sme who added x amount a monht and then had issues with it not all being there once they got onboard.

I added money little by little last cruise and it was all there when I got onboard. Mind you I still spent over what I had added but it did help the shock when the final bill came! :)

I forgot to add that you can always ask if they collect shot glasses - that would be like asking - do you like cake?

Or how about a small postcard from your local area?

I forgot to mention that one stateroom host of my mine recognized me first - funny thing - he was on the Wonder when I met him and on the Magic when he recognized me. :scared1: Some of them have a great memory!

Well, the real problem was that someone hit it and killed it and it was HUGE! So they had to stop the fwy traffic while they waited to take it away. It was quite the news story! And of course it was on the busiest freeway ever!

I remember years ago someones Zebra got out and was running on the freeway down there. It was so funny to see that on the news.

Yet another question:

I've skimmed the trip reports from the Med Repos and don't See any reference to this, so once again I'll ask, rather than sit and wonder!

On these longer cruises, do they offer more extensive (i.e. unlimited) internet access plans? I can't imagine going 2 whole weeks and only using 500 minutes between the 4 of us! YIKES!

I'd like to know this too. I can't imagine being unable to use my laptop longer then a few minutes each night. :scared1:

The internet offered on the Eastbound Med Repo was all based on minutes - they did not offer an unlimited plan. And it was very slow.

Ken

Uggh not what I wanted to hear! I have my laptop on a wireless plan through At&T. Can I use that onboard since I heard the cell phones now work onboard?

Now that is better. Chocolate covered strawberries, Rosa Regale etc!!!!!:lmao:

Served that on Wednesday at our wine shop!! We "hosted" a fund raising event and they had a chocolate fountain that we dipped strawberries and cream puffs into!! Served it with the Rose Regale and it was a YUMMO pairing!!

On the last EB Trans repo - they did not offer an unlimited plan - just the 500 minutes package - so it seems that is the way they have been going - even on the 7-day you can buy them in block increments. But the service is really spotty. You might get better luck actually using a cell phone - and cheaper if you've got roaming - assuming you don't make too many calls that is. I found that texting was cheaper for me and faster - international texting was 50 cents but make sure you check with your carrier.

I am frantically trying to cathc up before we lose this section too but I have to respnde to this coment -

When was the last time you tasted pee :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Both were spending time on another board, when we originally booked this cruise. I can't recall the name, or I would pop over and check, sorry.

They're not on Cruisecritic, and I have googles for other cruise forums but haven't found them, but might try again.

Amy and Sophia have these really cool charm bracelets, John the name? Found it, http://www.pandoracharmbracelets.com/
Haven't seen them up here yet.

Pj

I really like those.

My grandmother told me to live with someone first.... :rolleyes1

You know they do have t'shirts that say "mom likes me best" We got them for my brothers because they always used to say that... they both wore them on the same day!!!

Your grandmother was before her time!!!
My twin grandaughters had t shirts when they were 2 that said 'It wasn't me' with an arrow pointing to the other.

So good news tonight....
My friend I had mentioned earlier, got her CT results today. It's a 7mm spot that is too hard to tell if it's cancer. So her doc says they'll repeat the scan in 6 weeks and see if it's grown. 1 organ down 1 to go. She has her kidney ultrasound on tuesday. We aret taking this as good news. There's really nothing they can do as the lung is such a sensitive organ. Can't really biopsy it, the risk of other damage is not worth it. Thanks for the prayers it seems they were working! Lets keep up those good thoughts for her kidney and hopefully it'll show nothing too.

S

That does sound good news.

Euuuuuuuuuuugh, sounds disgusting, but if it works that is great.

Can't wait to try it!!! Will want a bottle of Rosa Regal for the cruise.

You guys remember this picture from last year, Valentine's day 2007?

snow1-2.jpg

Well, I took this one yesterday . . . other than the dog in the driveway, and cloudier sky, not much difference!

I may not like the idea of having to deal with snow but those are both very pretty! Reminds me of a Christmas card picture!
