A great place to look at movies before you go see them is Screen It. You have to be a member to read the current week's new movies, but after a week you can read the review for free.

Here's a link to the Hannah Montana movie: Link

I just realized both our cars are V8's...this car is not! Not sure how much difference that makes driving.

I love my Turbo charged V4. With the roads around DC you have to be able get up and go....or they will run you over :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

Hey the CAT 4 is back this morning....

Departure Date Itinerary Stateroom Category Price
05/10/2008 15-Night Westbound Panama Cruise Category 04 : Deluxe Family Stateroom w/ Verandah $ 9,594.58

You know, Maybe they have some CAT 3's open and they are trying to sell them on the WEBSITE ...buy a CAT 4 and get upgraded to a 3??:confused3 :confused3

And....it's GONE already!

I think we have to get to 250 pages before a new thread right?

Correct-a-mundo. And we don't have to WAIT to be shut down, we can move whenever we hit 250. Last poster, that page, starts the new thread.

Got the kitchen all cleaned up this morning (at the crack of dawn), so I think I'll go mess it up and make a ham and cheese omlette....oh, and I have one leftover KFC bisuit to go with it....yummmmmmmmm.....

.

Yup, a bit less than 2 hours from me!

Hmmmm.......maybe could be sort of a central location for a mini DIS meet?

Sounds doable to me. :yay: :cool1:

This the locks webcam page, send it to everyone you know that will be home.

Pj

Thank you again PJ.:worship:

See that is the fun in it! An excuse to buy yet another outfit! :thumbsup2

I was lucky. I have a couple from my and my brother's (he brought back a couple for my mom) trips to Mexico so didn't have to go out and buy one.

They are not mad at you, they are mad at
"The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune."
(Didn't somebody famous like Shakespeare write that?)

They are mad that their bodies are letting them down. They are used to being in charge and now they are not even in charge of their own bodies, let alone the house, street or town. They don't have a job, a car, their own keys, their own bathroom.

If they said THANK YOU it would be one more reminder of all they need you to do because they no longer can.

They know you have made a lot of sacrifices for them and that only makes them madder because they DO NOT WANT TO BE A BURDEN.

We talk about our kids thinking they are immortal, but heck, we all think we are immortal and when we crash into our own mortality it makes us mad. We have been having such fun being in charge, being our own boss, playing god that we forget that we have one God and He is in charge whether we like His plans for us or not.

It must be pretty hard to say, "OK, God, I will sit here in a body that does what I do not want it to do and let those I have cared for, nurtured and love beyond measure, do the things for me that make me feel like I am a baby when they and I would rather their lives were continuing without me as an interruption."

Hang in there. They appreciate you. They need you. It is hard for them to accept their reality now.

So, for them I will say it

  THANK YOU

Jan :earsgirl:

Jan, this is all so true but if you have heard it all your life and/or are in the middle of it now it can wear on you sometimes. I think most of us in this situation know the truth in what you say but sometimes it would be nice to just hear a thank you. Even if it is only once.

I looked for the Navigators from the last repo cruise and have not been able to find them.

As this is a longer than typical cruise, anyone have any idea what the entertainment will be?

If you go on PJ's web site to the Shipboard page there is a link on the top right side. It opens a folder. Click on 2008 Repo. They are under Panama 1 and Panama 2. Hope this helps.

is everyone asleep? I guess it is one of those good lazy Sunday's....it is gorgeous here. John is out watering and the girls are on the couch watching tv.

Okay, rub it in. It is warm for this time of year (supposed to get in the 50's) but cloudy and rainy. And then to top it all off it is supposed to drop tonight and we are supposed to get snow again tomorrow and most of next week.

Carol

I have watched those video clips many times! Makes me even more excited to be going!

How many video clips are there? I know only of one. Can we make a collection to post somewhere--like SHIP OF THIEVES website or page one of each Thread?

I have a 2006 chrysler town and country touring and I love it(yes not a cool car but practical) I really wanted all the automatic doors and stow and go and dvd player for travel the car before that we had a '99 town and country so they've been good cars for us. Like the new ones stow and go at touch of button and the table and swivel seats...now they come out with that.:sad2: Low miles in town but we have taken road trips to San Diego, LA, Colorado and so forth...great for travel:thumbsup2 Has been good to us! DH always drives Honda good commuter car. We are into practical not flashy. I feel like now that I'm not in high school I don't need to try and be cool.
:rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

Reverse Status Symbol: we are so COOL we do not have to worry about what we wear, drive or do.:thumbsup2

Jan :earsgirl:

sorry V...I don't know anything about cars...for me its if I like the car and does it work for our family/needs but the $negotiations and engine is DH thing. Good luck in getting the new car...its so nice but then its hard when you start getting dings on your door:sad2: first big one on my car was at DS little league game:headache:

We are the same, if I am the main driver, I get to decide model, upholstery, stuff like that. DH is the wheeler-dealer.

We got my Mercury Villager at CAR MAX. It was second hand to us. Came with some dings in it already so new ones are not stressful at all.:rotfl:

I love the Pinapalooza idea. I have a 7 year old pin-trading-aholic (is there a meeting for that?) He will spend as much time as we let him trading in the stores, those poor CMs. We're a little worried that our favorite CM, the manager Mary Jo from Canada, left DCL and won't be on the cruise.

I also need to buy some more pins for this trip, what are my chances of finding the site posted pages back? I'd also like the ebay person too, I think I've bought from kingpins.

I think he only hears me when I yell, or perhaps that's all I do these days, huh?

:confused3 Why is it that men of all ages think that LOUD is the same as YELL.

LOUD is projecting. Loud is pleasant, calm and polite with volume at a level that can be heard over the ambient noise.

YELL is angry, mad, frustrated, as a result of people who have repeatedly ignored the pleasant, calm, polite directive or inquiry.

I was trying to look at minivans....I just can't go there yet......

I was once like you. I got a suburban instead and just hated it, it was like driving a school bus and we sold it after 6 months. I got van and was a reluctant minivan driver until this year. Now I openly admit I love it, it has done incredibly well in the snow and mountains every weekend and comfortably fits 6 kids for carpool. In bad weather I prefer to to drive it over DHs X5. Sometimes the dark side is the light side...

aargh! just got around to watching last week's "Lost" and stupid tivo didn't tape the whole thing (I know you'd think I'd have learned my lesson after AI last week). can someone tell me what happened after Sayid went to the vet clinic, it cut out right after someone said take off your shirt.

either pm me or write it in white.

thanks!

I thought there was supposed to be tons of cabins come available after the 10th?

Does anyone know the typical number of kids onboard? I can't decide if 325 sounds like very few or not.

I am sure with the number of children in this Dis group that there are going to be more onboard than the last WB in 05.

my DD only has 3 new ones and they have to be new because in AZ you wear them everyday and they get worn fast DS only has 3 so I need to get them a few more...I just don't know how many:confused3 I actually went to Target bought tonz of undies and socks for the kids about 23 pairs each to have more than plenty and they are new and ready to go...I'll probably toss whats really worn out at home when we get back....I figured that would be easier since they still need their older stuff every day until the cruise.

A friend of mine buys new underwear before a trip, leaves it home, packs her old underwear, wears it and throws it away. She says that gives her a little more souvenir space.

However, Holly said she tried that once and the CM took it out of the garbage, folded it nicely and left it on the bed (I think she was the one it happened to.) So if you take the old underwear and try to throw it away when it is worn, bury it in the trash.

I just checked out their website and WOW is that cool! I wish we had one around here.....I'd do the pirate one for Tyler's next birthday. How fun!

Drive to Cleveland for Tyler's birthday and invite Sophia to the pirate themed party.

Mini-DIS meet!

So the entire office wants to see me on the camera as we pas through the locks - how does that happend?

IF they save a screen shot or video, when you get back you find someone waving and tell them that was you. :rotfl2:

Jan :earsgirl:

Not sure what time we are supposed to be going through there, but to heck with sending that link to people who are at home!! I'm sending it to my staff and am expecting screen captures from them to prove they were at work (while I was at play)!! ;) :lmao:

It'll be a Friday so none of them should say they were too busy ... :rotfl:

According to the time stamp on my last PC pictures, the sun rose at approximately 6:05 a.m., by about 6:25 a.m. we were approaching the first locks. We were still going through the process an hour later. It goes very slowly. The last locks we were there around 3:45 p.m. After exiting the locks, the PC boat has to come pick up the pilots, and we all waved goodbye and hollered and that was about 4:20 p.m. Then we went under the Bridge of the Americas after that.

The night before, the ship put with your navigator under your stateroom door the approximate times for each lock and when you would enter and exit according to the time schedule they had been given by the PC authorities. Because we are a cruise ship, we have a scheduled time.

What you can do is alert your family and friends to either a) check the live thread from the disboards and someone can post the info the night before, b) send them an email from the ship telling them beforehand that you will be posting the times (be sure to tell them what your time zone difference is) or c) text message if you have international plan

I would tell them to watch one hour either way and to keep refreshing their screen.
