Alison HAS to be my buddy. Go to Ebay and buy her some of the $1 Disney Pins....she will have no attachment and will love to trade.

Daniel and I LOVE to trade. That is what we are going to do on Thursday and Friday before.

Mrs. Woody loves to trade too~~~

What a brilliant idea! Okay, I'm off to ebay to do some shopping!

She just got a new one Thursday from a young man :scared1: who asked her to be his Valentine! (Talk about knowing the way to her heart!!! ) You can bet she won't be trading that one anytime soon! (I'm SO not ready for this boy/girl thing....... )

Oh man... now I have to go buy more pins!!!

NO, that's the deal. People who have pins to spare can use them as fish extender surprises or have a pin exchange. People like me who have only the special ones we NEED to KEEP do not have to worry about it.

I have ideas only. Not pins.:rotfl2:

Not sure what time we are supposed to be going through there, but to heck with sending that link to people who are at home!! I'm sending it to my staff and am expecting screen captures from them to prove they were at work (while I was at play)!! ;) :lmao:

It'll be a Friday so none of them should say they were too busy ... :rotfl:

GREAT IDEA! :rotfl2:

I just realized both our cars are V8's...this car is not! Not sure how much difference that makes driving.

Not much when you are driving 6 miles to work!! ;) You should have plenty of power to get you up to Gainsville at highway speeds. :) And you will spend less on gas. :thumbsup2

My mom's license is up this summer at 81. She has agreed to not renew it. I have to say that I'm a bit mad at my sisters because they sometimes have her drive to them. So stupid. Paul and I agree NEVER will she drive to us or with us. We just drive her. She also has a driver at the place she lives, we just have to set up the service for her. But that is easier said than done, of course, she is old and set in her ways. She needs her Starbucks!!!

New job opportunity for an investor and workers--STARBUCKS in retirement and assisted living facilities.

Those who are capable can work there. Teens who want to work there can provide some socialization for the seniros. Seniors who want to socialize there can do so. No seniors will have to drive and SOMEONE can rack in the big bucks.

good idea, but Tyler and Wilson have styling new duds already...Also I think Dr. Hug is a bit of tongue in cheek, they didn't shrink he grew :scared1:

You think I did not KNOW this? :rotfl2: I was trying to be gentle with his ego.

I am going to say this once and that is all.....

I am tired of taking care of old grumpy people!! You would think that I have changed most of my entire life and the lives of my children and you would think someone would say Thank you and NOT COMPLAIN.

Thank you for listening.

When I was taking care of my mom before she died (Alzheimer's Disease...the absolutely worst thing to have to watch in a parent!) it was so exhausting at times, both emotionally and physically, that I just wanted to give up. I kept reminding myself that I was investing in my own future. My kids were watching me care for her and learning how to have respect and love for a parent who had long since ceased being "respectable" and "lovable." Hopefully the lesson was learned well and will pay dividends when I'm old!

My kids always see the scary movies and have no harm. We have friends kids that don't and FOR SURE I would not have wanted them with us.

Lots of stuff to have nightmares over. Globbins, shape shifters. I don't want to give away a scene, but I have to tell you that in one the bad goblin shape shifts into the father and the child stabs him. Not a movie for a little guy that gets afraid for sure.

I think even Molly will have bad dreams tonight.

But we loved it.:lmao:

We really did like it, but I wanted to see more of the fairies. We saw enough creepies but I like to see the pretty faires too. I expect a part 2.

Well I now know the movie is OUT for us! My kids would be awake all night while mom was having bad dreams! :rotfl2: :scared1:

I had the same kind of problem but it was my dad who allowed his driving to continue. I think it was easier to just let my grandfather do what he wanted then to try and intervene. Sometime the right thing to do is not the easy thing to do though and my family just didn't have time.

okay 11:30, I'm done. see ya tomorrow, oops almost forgot to tell you about Casey at the vet.

We got her some pills for the dementia. They will take about 2 weeks to show any signs of improvement and also we have a script for Valium. Believe it or not, the same stuff for people. We got it at Walgreens. 10mg Paul gave her 1/2 pill tonight. Hopefully she will sleep thru the night. Her heart and lungs are great. No reason to expect she is nearing the end. I just hope this is the right call. I'm worried about leaving her while we are on vacation. I just don't want her to go when we are traveling for her sake or the sake of our house sitter.

Time will tell. If the meds help her now, maybe we can just have her drift off in her own time...

nite nite :cloud9:

That's great news! Hope the meds work well.

How long have you had one of the smart cars? We're very interested in this.

We don't have one ----YET. We arejust shopping for a tow vehicle for the motorhome and really like this one. They were supposed to be for sale in the US in Jan, but none here in the NW yet. We could order one online by putting $99 down. We are considering this since it guarantees the price when they do arrive. We think this may be one of those "toys" that folks find fun and so supply and demand may send the price up.

Mar, the track is in Dixon. Might be not too far from you. Remind me on Monday to ask you about coming. Perhaps your son would like to meet Wil and the girls can say hi again??? I have to find a good bounce house place tomorrow any suggestions for up your way?

Oh heck Dixon is a very short drive away. We go there all the time as (ok should not admit to this) they have a drive through Baskin Robbins! The one two minutes from my house is not drive through so sometime we drive to Dixon and get ice cream and come home. Makes a nice little outing! :rotfl: Did I mention I am nuts? Kids love me anyways.

he really is okay to drive......He can hold the wheel and turn with the left arm...no fine motor skills though (button his shirt and stuff).

He was a firefighter (drove the BIG RIGS) all his life and the best driver I have every seen.

I did have the Doc take my dad's license away in 1998....and he died in 1999.

I have taken my mom's licence away...but she will not sell her car...She has not driven of a year. She should never drive again.

After my dad had a stroke (59 yrs old) he had to re-take his driver's test and drive with a knob type thing on the steering wheel. It is designed for people with use of only 1 hand. It worked very well for him. He has since stopped driving for vision reasons. (now 70)
