May 1-4, 2014 Bahamian Disney Dream Cruise

Plan on staying aboard in Nassau as well even though it is our first Disney cruise we have been to Nassau before. Do not know what to expect for anything else. Just really excited to be on the ship. Saving money for a deposit for the next cruise already. Going to try a Caribbean or Alaska maybe in 2015. We shall see!
We stayed on the ship at Nassau that last time we were there too... and we may possible do the same this time as well. There are so many things you can do on the ship to stay occupied, or even just relax :) We're not big on spending too much on excursions. We'll probably try Palo this time around for brunch.

first the apology - I'm sorry I've been unable to post questions/comments/ answers - usually I'm a little more active on the "meet & mingle" boards for any cruise we take - but life has interfered - after several months of worry over a very high risk pregnancy for our daughter-in-law - she presented us with our healthy first granddaughter in early December! Baby's first Disney cruise is already being planned for May of 2015!

a few questions:
during this short cruise will they offer the Palo or Remy brunch?
if they do, what day will they schedule them for?
what show will be scheduled for Thursday, May 1st?
what show will be scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd?
what time is lunch served on Castaway Cay?

Info: (taken from other posters)
Life Boat Drill - 3:45PM on Thursday, May 1st
Pirate night is going to be on Friday, May 2nd.
tentative schedule: 7:30pm - Pirates of the Caribbean Show
9:15pm - A Pirate Life for Me
10:30pm - Buccaneer Blast Fireworks
Optional formal night is scheduled for Saturday, May 3rd.

Thanks in advance for your help? See you all in 116 days!

Congrats on your new Granddaughter!! We are bringing our 2 granddaughters on this cruise!

So what's everyone up to?! I am bored out of my mind since I broke my leg/ankle right before Christmas, had surgery and it's in a cast. So I sit home all day and think about and research the cruise! Lol!

Has everyone signed up for the Fish Extender group?? I'm going to make my FE soon and still have not decided what I'm making for the exchange! It's gonna be fun!

Well, hope everyone is well!!

We're getting close! :)
Just a reminder... Don't forget to be sure you have all document requirements for customs. Whether it be Enhanced licenses, passports, proper Birth Certificates with the seal...all that stuff...also Minor Authorization forms for those that may need that. If we haven't got them in our posession now, we have just enough time to get that taken care of before we embark on our vacations. Again, Wouldn't want anyone to be turned away at port for lack of documentation. :):thumbsup2

From what I understand - once we are paid off we will get the Minor Authorization forms since we are taking our grandchildren!

Getting more and more excited! Found a couple FE patterns,so I'll be making our FE soon!

Haven't made any other plans! We're just planning to go with the flow!! One thing I just learned about is the Detective Agency game. Anyone know about this? You get a card and hold it up to pictures around the ship and it gives you clues? I know our 9yo granddaughter will love that!

One more day and we are in double digits!! Can't wait! :cool1:

Do we just edit the spreadsheet to be added to the exchange? (Okay, new on this site, I thought this would have shown up as part of the thread I was replying to which #3 about the fish extenders)

I don't know how to do this either! Hopefully someone will be along to explain.

Hello.... Yes, the link at post #3 and the link in CruzinTink's message above will take you to the spreadsheets. Just go to the next empty line on the list and start entering your travel parties information. Please allow one line per individual. I updated the chart last night, so for those that have already entered, please update the options. :thumbsup2

First time cruisers. My wife, my 5 year old daughter and myself along with my parents.

Hi everyone! My name is Kristi, and I just found out we will be on this cruise! Had no clue!

Weird story - let me start at the beginning.

A week ago, my husband tells me that he was chosen for an award through work, and that the prize was a cruise! With the limited details he gave me, I deduced that it was the Disney Magic sailing May 2nd, and started my planning! Well, he just told me that after his informational meeting today, they were told it was the Disney Dream, not the Magic. So now I get to start all over!

So hello!! I'm Kristi, married to Keith, and we're from Indiana. We have two little girls (Maggie age 8, Josie age 4), but they won't be with us on the trip - we already had plans to visit WDW for a week at the beginning of June! So they are staying home with Nana, and we are going to have an adult only trip (our first cruises EVER!) and celebrate our 10th anniversary (March 13th) by having a 2nd honeymoon of sorts. We told ourselves that our trip to WDW was our 2nd honeymoon, and that it was fine that the kids were coming along, but now its the best of both worlds!

Now to start the Disney DREAM research!

I did my OnLine CheckIn today!! I'm sooo excited! We got an early port time!! Now just need to schedule a character call for our granddaughters!! It is so official now!!

Hello!
I am soooo excited to say that I just booked my cruise and will be joining you all on the Dream sailing May 1! I am traveling with 2 friends to celebrate my 40th birthday! I am leaving my husband and 2 daughters (12 and 9) behind, much to the girls' dismay.

I am an avid WDW traveler but this is my first cruise, Disney or otherwise!
I can't wait to set sail!:
