Maxpass/Photopass on "Break" Days

I've read that some of the character meals outside of the parks have Photopass photographers. Does anyone know if Maxpass needs to be activated for the day before they will scan your pictures? I ask because we have an upcoming trip where we were planning on doing Tuesday afternoon in the park, but we are using Wednesday for sightseeing. We do, however, have Donald's Seaside Breakfast booked before we go out exploring. We have our own DSLR for taking pictures, and phones of course, but it would definitely be easier if we didn't have to lug it over that morning.

When my wife and I were there in October, they would only scan the Minnie's Breakfast picture after I showed her I had Maxpass activated on my phone. Technically, we will have tickets with Maxpass accessible on this day, but we weren't planning on going into the parks at all.

Any thoughts/comments?

You have to have been in the parks for Max Pass to be activated for the day. So, no dice on a non-park day.

If you have an AP w/ Max Passb then yes, it should work to go into the parks to get it activated, then leaving for the meal.

Thanks for the advice. When we did the Minnie Breakfast, the CM selling the packages only wanted to "see" that we'd purchased MP before giving us the Photopass card for the meal photos. It was a weird exchange for sure. Having our own camera works better for the tableside photos anyway.

Remember, they only have a photographer with the main character (Donald, Minnie......) At the table you will need your own camera.
