Does anyone have a link/info for maximum adult/kids per ride?

When we went in 2012, I seem to recall that my wife was able to ride dumbo with both our 4 yr old and 2yr old DD. For our next trip there will be my wife and I, DD (8), DD (6), and twin boys (2). On many of the small rides, the plan is the girls will ride together and my wife and I will each ride with one of the boys. However, there may be rides like Autopia where it would be nice if three could ride together (1 Adult, 1 DD, and 1DS) due to height requirments. There also may be times when the 8 yr old and I run off and do a "big kid" ride while the wife, DD (6), and twins stay behind and do the smaller rides (wife and DD(6) are not into many of the "big kid" rides). The twins are pretty small, but didn't know if they would allow adult to ride with three kids.

Thank you.

Most rides you will be fine with one adult and two kids with you. Rides like pirates and small world you might all fit on one bench. Autopia might be tricky, pretty sure you will only be able to do one adult and one kid for your kids ages... I am sure someone will correct me. When you are in line I would suggest splitting yourselves into 2 groups of 3... Often I have noticed the cm looking for smaller parties and a group of three might get on the ride ahead of a group of five or more.

Be aware, that there will be rides that the CMs will not allow the 8 and 6yo to ride together. For example, Dumbo. The 8yo would be allowed to ride solo, but the 6yo will need someone over 14 with them. I also don't think they will allow it on Peter Pan. On rides like Alice, they will let them sit in the seat together in front of an adult.

And Autopia, yes, you can ride 1 adult and 2 kids.

I agree with this. If it's a car that holds 4 people (say 2 in the front and 2 in the back...such as Alice, Goofy's Sky School, etc.), they will let the 8 and 6 year old ride together in a row as long as the adult is in the same vehicle. This is also true with something like Big Thunder Mountain or Space Mountain -- the 6 & 8 year old can ride together in a row as long as an adult is in the row behind them.

However, they will not let you do this with Toy Story Midway Mania, for example, I think because the adult cannot actually "see" the kids on the other side of the vehicle...and therefore cannot supervise them.

Of course, they will not let the 6 & 8 year old ride in alone in vehicles that only hold 2 riders.

They also won't do 6 in a row on POTC, even if 2 are sitting on laps.

I've been wondering about this, too. We're about to take our 4 year old and our 1-year-old twins. I don't expect our twins to ride on much, but it's good to know which rides we can all go on in 1 car/row vs. splitting.

I seem to remember a huge fuss the last time I was there because a mom in front of us was alone with her kids, who were around 6 and 8. We were on the tuck n roll buggies in DCA and the CM was nice enough to let each girl wait on the side while the other rode with the mom. I don't know that all CMs do that, though, or that it's really allowed. Anyway, just something to keep in mind if your older ones both want to go on and don't fit the criteria to ride alone yet.

Tell your 6 year old to say she's 7 problem solved! Seriously I'm not normally a rule breaker but 7 is the magic Disney number. My son was super close to his birthday when we went and he wanted to ride buzz astroblasters with his sister to beat her we were right behind them and could see them the whole time. I realize some will say I'm dishonest and a liar but really there are worse things in life. As long as she's able to handle it ;)

So what do we do when riding toy story, for example? We are 2 adults and 3 kids (all over 40 inches). Oldest is 7. Do we seriously have to do a switchpass for this one? Would we then have to ride 3 separate times, or can the 7 year old ride alone?

The 7 year old can ride alone.

Thanks, I did not know that! Hopefully he will be ok with that, as long as we are in the next car and he can sometimes see us. Something I forgot to consider when planning this trip!

You could also do 1 adult and 1 child on one side of the car, and the 7 year old on the other side...while the second adult and a child go in a different car. That way, the 7 year old isn't really alone.

If we had that mix, I would do 1 parent with 2 kids and let the kids have the guns, and the other parent with 1 kid.

I can verify you can do 2 adults and one kid in autopia. However, have a plan for who will get to drive when or you're going to have a big issue on your hands with both kids fighting over the wheel!

A note on Toy Story--your little ones might not like it. My son (now 4) went on it when he was 3 for the first time. He was okay with it, but it's kind of jerky, faster than most dark rides, and kind of loud. So, you may want to consider a rider swap anyway. It depends on your kids' temperaments though.
