max pass questions

hi

going to disneyland next weekend for just one day with my adult daughter- getting a park hopper and have never used the max pass and am thinking of getting it since i feel it would maximize ride time so we wouldn't have to walk back and forth to get fast passes ( any ideas on this plan) and from what i understand after reading about it is you can book your fast passes from your phone thru the app for both parks - my questions - do you have to be in the park to start booking or if the park is open and you're on the way can you start booking fast passes ? can you book fast multiple fast passes once the morning ? overall thought on max pass

Maxpass is fantastic.

You do have to scan into one of the parks before you can book any (but once you’ve scanned into one park, you can book in both parks).

You can have more than one FP at a time depending how you book them. For instance, if you arrive at 9:00 and book a 9:30 Space Mountain right away, then at 9:30 you book a 10:00 Star Tours, then at 10:00 you book a 10:05 Buzz Lighyear - you’d have all 3 FPs waiting to be used.

Yes, you can also scan in up to five minutes early.

Is Max Pass only available for AP purchase at the ticket kiosk or can we purchase online?

If you buy your park ticket through Disney you can pay ahead to have it included all days. If you buy your park ticket (any kind) anywhere else or decide to add later, you scan your ticket into your Disney app on your phone and you purchase for the day as soon as you enter the park on your phone.
