Max pass on AP question

This past march was the first time we used the Max pass and we loved it. I had already had my AP for several months so wasn't able to add it but i just renewed it for a trip in 2 weeks and added it. My question is how does it work if you have it on your AP. I know you still can't do FP till you get in the parks in the morning but since you already have it once you go through the gates does it just activate and you start making FP or do you still have to add it somehow? I just don't want to waste time messing with it. Plus my daughter bought a park hopper which I have attached to my account so once she enters and buys her Max pass under her account will that link it so that I can make fp for both of us?

It just automatically works once you scan in. Once your daughter buys Maxpass, you will be able to add her to your FP party and reserve a time.

And just so you know, you COULD have added Maxpass to your AP at any time. I added it 2 months after I renewed my AP last year. The price is the same regardless.

Great thanks for the info. Yea I knew you could add it but by the time we were able to actually use Max pass my pass was expiring in another month so that is why it wasn't worth it. I did it this time cuz I am going enough times to make it worthwhile. I figure I have to go at least 7 days to make it worth it and we are going like 10 days during the length of my pass

Yes, that makes sense. I thought you were saying that you couldn't add it on, not that it would have been a poor value.
