Just got Max home from surgery. Everything went well - he's a little groggy and I can tell he's in a significant amount of pain. They had to do a pretty extreme procedure on the fractured tooth. He's definately not himself right now and it's just breaking my heart. I know it's going to take a few days for him to start feeling better, so right now it's just about making him comfortable and giving him lots of love and attention.

Thanks to everyone for your good wishes.

Pete

Glad everything went well. Hopefully, he'll be feelin his "ole" self in a few days. :flower3:

Thanks for letting us know about Max! Hope he has a speedy recovery and will up and around in no time at all!

Glad to hear he is home and the bad stuff is behind you now.
Give him a hug for me! :grouphug: He needs lots and lots of hugs.

Thank you for letting us know, Pete. Make sure to give him extra soft blankets and lots of hugs. We'll be thinking about him!

Max is lucky to have a dad like you Pete. Hope he recovers quickly

Every time he meets someone with a dog and they ask, "do you like dogs?" Jacob always responds, "I only like one dog. He lives in Orlando. His name is Max. He's Pete's dog. He's the only dog I like."

:)

So glad that Max is home and with his dads!!!

Give him hugs from Paige, Gibson and Riley and us humans too :)

Oh I am so happy that Max is doing well.:woohoo::yay::woohoo::yay: Give him lots of hugs and kisses. Thanks for keeping us posted.:grouphug:

Glad he is out of surgery Pete. I bet you will see significant improvement in his level of comfort tomorrow. I am glad you got the answers for him he will be so much happier now after he gets over this initial recovery hump.

Glad Max is home and recovering!!! Dogs are resilient and he will be back to his normal self in no time. :thumbsup2 (I've been through half a dozen surgeries with my first beloved dog - so I know of what I speak of.) ;)

I found that animals are pretty quick to heal after surgery. You should baby the hell out of Max though. Prop him up on the couch, let him watch Animal Planet and feed him Alpo milkshakes.

I am glad he did well. Hopefully the vet can give him some doggy pain meds if it is too bad. ((HUGS)) from us.

I'm glad to hear everything went well. I'm sure Max will recover quickly now that he is home.
