Are the mattresses in the beds moveable? We have a family of 5 and will also be traveling with my Mom and step Dad. We are planning on getting connecting rooms. If we book one of our kids in their room, can we move the mattress into our room on the floor at night if they don't want to sleep in there? We don't want to book one of the bigger family rooms because they are so much more $$$.

Thanks, Erika

If all the beds in your cabin are in use, I doubt there would be room for another mattress. The only one that could possibly be moved is the bunk... But honestly I would not. I would put another kid to sleep in the other room first.

I agree. Even if you were able to move one of the mattresses, I don't believe there would be space enough to fit it.

To answer the question - yes, the mattresses can be moved off their respective beds. But I agree that there may be limited room in your room to put one on the floor, if all other beds are in use.

Maybe all the kids could switch off who gets to spend the night with Grandma?

Yes, they are, and people do that when their child is afraid to sleep on the top bunk. You will make it work; I would do it if it were a savings. Not all rooms have the bunk anyhow, so if you are searching for rooms of 3 and 4 to save money on the connectings, you may get one without a top bunk.
