Does anyone have a good experience with the Mattresses in a Box delivered to your house like Purple or Casper?
If not, is is easy to get a refund?
Buying a mattress is stressful!

My son and I each bought Tuft and Needle mattresses a little over two years ago and we love them. They have a very generous return policy but we didn’t put it to the test because the mattresses are the most comfortable we’ve ever slept on.

We have a casper at my DH's request. I hate it. He loves it. Too firm for me. I wake up with stiff.

Prior to this we had a boxed mattress from Costco or Sams...can't remember...but it was sooo wonderful. It is in my son's room now and I go lay with him to read and miss it so much!

We’ve had a queen sized Leesa for about a year and have no complaints.

We've been sleeping on a king sized Casper for two and a half years. Love it!! So comfortable and you can't beat the 100 day return policy.

I don't have the guts to order a mattress without trying it out. We always go to Orig. mattress factory down the road and lay on each mattress.

We got one from Nest bedding. I was nervous too, but the try out period was encouraging and the fact that it was 50% of the price compared to going to a retail store made me pull the trigger. 2.5 years later, and it is still the best thing I have ever laid on.
My advice is if you are considering mattress in a box, don't go right for the cheapest one. Casper puts a huge amount of their budget into advertising. Check out a site like the sleep sherpa for unbiased reviews.

I bought a Novaform 14" mattress from Costco about three years ago. It was right around $400.00, and I love it.

DW and I got a Leesa mattress about 3 years ago. I love it and think it's the best mattress we've ever had, but I like soft mattresses. DW thinks it's too soft and "sleeps hot" (and she's cold-natured). She wishes she'd spoken up during our 100-night trial period. So YMMV.

We have Bed in a Box, the least-fancy model. It's excellent. Perfect, in fact.

Before that, we tried a Casper. In fact, we tried it out in the store and thought it was fine before buying it, but sleeping on it was a different story. Neither DH nor I liked it and we got a refund for it. I guess my point here is that just because you try a mattress out in the store doesn't necessarily mean it'll work out in actual use.

We have a Zinus Memory Foam 12 inch mattress that we bought about two years ago on Amazon and it's the best mattress we've ever slept on. We've recommended it to several friends and they all love the mattress too. We've replaced every mattress in our home with the same mattress over the last two yeas. Yes we did the Linenspa hybrid foam/spring 8" mattresses for our daughters, they were $90 each---very very inexpensive. The experience of how they arrive is pretty cool and they really do "grow" to the size they should be. They are ages 11 & 9 and as such are only 70lbs and 55lbs. I would not recommend this model mattress for an average sized adult of anyone who may be bigger than average- the support just isn't there and the mattress is not designed to be used with a boxspring so it's not really designed for superior support. My girls do though like them a lot. They previously had an innerspring only mattress and enjoy the pillow top. I know Linenspa makes some more expensive mattresses in the few hundred dollar range but I cannot speak to those models.

We have a Lucid that I bought from Amazon. I love it
I bought a 10" Lucid from Amazon and didn't like it until I flipped it over with the top "cooling layer" facing down. After sleeping on it and it getting warm from body heat, it was just way to soft. It was like climbing out of a fishbowl to get out of it! Much better after flipping it.

Also bought a 14" mattress from Overstock.com and that one was absolutely perfect from day one. Wish I had bought two of that one!!

DH and I have a queen size Purple and LOVE it. We complain now when we travel about bad sleep and how much we miss our mattress.

We tried the Leesa first and I had the same experience - it slept hot. I would wake up with heat trapped under me and it didn't dissipate when I rolled over. We decided not to keep the Leesa and I will give them a lot of credit because they were GREAT about making arrangements to have it picked up (either recycled or donated) and as soon as we sent them a picture of the receipt of pick up, they refunded our money quickly. We turned around and paid that same money to Purple!
