Mattress help!

Tempurpedic and Tempurpedic brand ONLY. All other "memory foam" mattresses are garbage.

We have one Tempurpedic Original (medium firm) mattress that is currently 19 years old and still looks and feels perfect. No dents, dips, or anything. Still super supportive.

The other one (Tempurpedic Cloud Supreme) is now 11 years old and still looks and feels like it did the day we bought it. These are PHENOMENAL mattresses. They will last forever, they don't harbor mites, and they are SO comfortable. At this point they have so many options they truly have something for everyone.

They're pricey but it might be the last mattress you will ever buy. They have a 20 year guarantee, but I assure you will last a lot longer than that.

Any one heard of this brand.

I tried to copy the link from amazon but it brought you to groupon. Don't understand that.

Looking for twins for a new bunkbed. DGKs will use them maybe 2 dozen nights a year.

Haven't bought a mattress for a while, but wow, they do cost a lot. I don't think I could spend 3-5 grand for a mattress.

$5000 divided by 20 is $250/year. You'll spend the same amount on a lesser quality mattress and need a new one every few years. I'd rather spend the money upfront and be guaranteed 20+ years of good, comfortable, uninterrupted sleep.

Our first Tempurpedic cost $1500. The second, $2800. You don't have to go all-out.

Pottery Barn Kids sells an inexpensive bunk mattress. My boys have been sleeping on them full time for over 12 years. They were like $200 each. Amazing quality.

Reviving this thread as I am now mattress shopping. :) Questions for those with Sleep Number - is the basic model good enough? Do you really need their base or can we put it on our current box spring? I had hoped to upgrade in the future to an adjustable base but we have a queen bed and those don’t split in the middle. I’m a stomach sleeper so if my snoring dh raises the bed in the middle of the night that would be bad for me! Lol. So, no adjustable base but custom firmness on each side sounds like it might be worth the $. Just the mattress is on sale for $1000 but if they insist on adding the $500 base I’d be over budget. Advise appreciated.

I have the basic and love it. You don't necessarily need their base but I would recomend getting a Bunkie Board to put between your current box spring and the sleep number for better support. I too have a queen and am debating getting the adjustable frame but unsure if hubby and I would agree on the position. Our foam around the air bladders wore out after about 6 years and I called sleep number and they shipped out new foam a ridiculously cheap price and it was like have a brand new bed again.
