Mattress for adjustable base bed

Looking for anyone who has one of these beds opinion. We have the base we want picked out, but the mattress to put on it is proving to be more complicated.

The furniture store that we are buying the base from is trying to sell us an innerspring mattress to put on it. While the innerspring mattress on the base that is on display felt comfortable enough, everything I have read online recommends a memory foam or latex foam mattress for the adjustable bases. It make sense that those mattresses would be more flexible/conforming to the base, but I am wondering if anyone has one and can attest to the durability and comfort of just memory foam or latex foam? Or on the other hand has anyone used an innerspring mattress on one of the bases and been perfectly happy with that combination?

Anyone have a memory foam or latex foam mattress that they absolutely love and would care to share the brand they have?? We are doing the combination in a queen size.
