My local radio station was talking about him the other morning...they played a clip from him on the Leno show & Matthew was telling Jay that he doesn't believe in deodorant and that he is obsessed with brushing his teeth...he said he brushes up to 5x per day at an average of 14 minutes per time! When Jay asked him why 14 minutes, Matthew was saying how he likes to walk around while he's brushing them....

The radio show was trying to figure out why he didn't find deodorant necessary, yet he brushes his teeth like a madman.

I still find him sexy though!

I liked him the best when he was hosting the Farm Aid show in Pittsburgh a few years back. The guy was high as a kite the whole time, and even talked about going backstage to burn one with Willy (Nelson).

Don't think they'll be asking him to host another one.

I would suffer through the "no deodorant" thing for the good of humanity.

My problem is that I like brains along with looks, so for me, he wouldn't cut it. Soon as he started spouting out something stupid about his personal grooming habits, or lack thereof, I'd be out the door.

Good thing he's hanging out with that European babe...they're not real big on deodorant over there either...and yes, that is from personal experience...I have been to Europe several times.

Especially since he admited on the Barbara Walter's special that he hasn't used deoderant in...20 YEARS! Whats THAT all about?

DH forgets a lot to use it in the cool months because he doesnt need it. Only in the summer when he's working. I guess some people are just blessed that way. Maybe Matthew is too?

I love a man who brushes more than me. I am obcessed with brushing my teeth and making sure DH brushes his often enough. I even have video of me as a 5 or 6 year old brushing for like 5 minutes. I buy my kids toothbrushes that flash for a minute so they know not to stop brushing until then.

I'm kind of there - but I admit I was a bit floored by his no deodorant stance. In the interview I saw he said something to the effect that he didn't like it when a lot of folks had the same unnatural scent.

Maybe he has never heard of Mennen Unscented. Think we should chip in and send him a case?
