Matterhorn

I would love to know if tall people and/or Pooh sized people were comfortable in the new bobsleds?

Do they have any special seat in back, like for splash mountain, where adults can sit with their younger kids?

It looks like it's going to have a much faster loading time now that it's one rider per seat. People don't have to get situated and figure out/untwist the tandem seat belt.:thumbsup2

Speaking with one of the ride operaters, while we were unsuccessful at getting our ride as we had to leave today before the ride got operational, they are quite concerned that the new loading system is (and these are his words, not mine) "significantly slower" than the prior system.

Loading may be slower, but if they can fit more people on each bobsled, maybe it will still end up being faster, or at least the same.

I rode t today. There at park open - ride did not get started and they asked ppl to leave. We were close so we waited out the fix ... About 90 minutes later they said it was working ... We get in the seat queue, the other side started first got about a foot and they stopped it. We all got off and they gave us a pass to come back.
Later when it had been running for a while we used our pass and rode. It was bumpy and jerky and not very fast in my opinion. There were seat belts with the yellow pull tab to make sure they fasten. Not a lot of leg room. Height was 42.
Not sure it was worth all the trouble. It looks awesome and the mt climbers are fun, but the ride was just so-so.
I hadn't riden it since 1980 or so, so no real memories of what it was like to compare.

I rode the Matterhorn today. I was in line for about 30 min starting at 8:45 until they emptied the line as they were broken down (I don't think anyone had even ridden it yet that day. Around 1 I got in line by myself as the rest of my family were heading back to the hotel for a break when my husband called me and told me about single rider. I left the hour plus line and literally walked on - only one person in front of me. So great!!!!

Here's a few things
- seatbelts -yes
-only one line now - a cm said they changed from 2 to 1 line based off of visitor feedback
-the ride is bumpy and jerky - I haven't ridden it in a long, long time so can't do much of a comparison

I'm so glad I walked on because while the ride was fun it isn't worth a huge wait for me which I'm surprised about but I really don't care for the jerks and bumps.

I have been at the parks all week and am so surprised I was able to walk on Matterhorn and easily walk around Cars Land and Buena Vista Street -even with a stroller! I just walked around but even that was fun.

Still the exact same bumpy ride. I miss the info about the single rider until I was at the front after waiting an hour. Oh well. I do like having the single line though so you don't have to run around the Mt trying to figure out which is shorter. :thumbsup2

I have no idea why out might take longer to load but the CM spent a lot of time explaining how to unbuckle the seat belt.

Anyone taken young kids on the new sleds? My 5 yr old has been looking forward to riding it, but I'm a little nervous about the seat belts, since I don't see how I could verify myself she is buckled in correctly not being right beside her.

A CM will check all belts, just like they do on Indy and Soarin'.

Has anyone rode both sides to compare? Before the refurb, the tomorrowland side was noticeably (to me) more jerky. Is this still the same?
