Matterhorn

Matterhorn was supposed to be finished today. Any updates?:goodvibes

I have friends in the park and they just tagged themselves on the Matterhorn an hour ago I think. So I'm guessing it did open later today.

I have seen pictures on various sites of people riding it today.

I was there today for the media event. they had a soft opening of the matterhorn.

42" on the Disneyland website.

theres been so much speculation that they were going to change the height requirement and we all know how DL websites update their calendar so quickly and so well:lmao:...i just want to hear it firsthand from people who rode it vs looking on the website

A cool thing is that now they have single rider lines at the Matterhorn

GREAT INFO!! Thanks Mary Jo. :hippie:

And it makes sense, it drove me crazy when i'd see the front (or back) end of a sled go out empty (with lots of folks in line).

:idea:I can see it now....."Hi hunny, while you & the tot ride dumbo, I'm gonna make a quick restroom stop.....back in 5-7 minutes, meet you at Alice".

(heads over to the Matterhorn for single rider) :cool2:

:)

Looking forward to finding out, once and for all, what the restraint system is; sure hope it's seat belts.

I can all 3 of us hopping in the S R line :thumbsup2

It looks like it's going to have a much faster loading time now that it's one rider per seat. People don't have to get situated and figure out/untwist the tandem seat belt.:thumbsup2

So to the people who rode it- how was it? I imagine it's still bumpy since I heard Bob Gurr ( the man who designed it) said the ride was still designed by someone who didn't know what they were doing in a time before computers. ;) Anyway, he thought it would still be bumpy even with new cars. Are there still two lines around the mountian or did that change too?

This is my daughter's favorite coaster, so no single rider line for me.

Oh well, sharing quality time with the little llama > shorter wait time.
