Matterhorn Refurb

Hi, I'm visiting DL this October and currently disney.com says Matterhorn will be down for refurb while I'm there, is it possible that it will be open while I'm there or will it be down?

I spoke with Disney last week and they said it would be down through november

I can't speak for where it mentions the refurb on disney.com because I heard about it from a friend (I also just looked and couldn't find it) but when I heard this I checked at the touringplans.com refurb schedule and it was scheduled on there.

It's a bummer that Matterhorn will be closed, this is the second time in a row I've missed out.

I just saw this yesterday and am so bummed! I think it was just recently listed for refurbishment because I checked a few weeks ago to see what might be down during our visit (September 2-5) and it wasn't listed. One of our favorite rides, I'm so disappointed it will be closed.

I don't get to go until 2015, so that means that a lot of rides should be in good updated shape then for next year huh?

I saw some conflicting info on the refurb and was really hoping it would be open. First trip to DL and it stinks to miss riding Matterhorn.

For the first time in forever there aren't any rides scheduled to be closed while I'm there. (Well, except Nemo, but that ride is awful.) I'm pumped. But knowing my luck, the Space Mountain and Alice refurbs will get pushed and will fall over my dates.

Novemeber? Why so long, I thought it had a decent refurb a couple of years where all the track was replaced?

I don't get to go until 2015, so that means that a lot of rides should be in good updated shape then for next year huh?

for the 60th anniversary I wouldn't think many rides will be down. Should be perfect. But for 2014 it seems a lot is down.

That is one ride that I won't particularly miss during my November trip. I would have gone on it once but I'm fine with it being down. I'm sorry that you'll miss it though.

I noticed yesterday that it's not on the list of refurbs for Aug. 26, which is as far as the calendar currently goes. I'm crossing my fingers it stays open through Labor Day weekend! We'll be there for the half marathon, and since we live on the east coast we don't get to DL that often. I don't understand shutting it down for refurb right before a busy holiday weekend.

according to most reports I've seen it's set to close Aug 25th and be down till Nov 13th.. I'm a bit bummed it will be closed during my visit but I booked back in January and it's been posted since early March so I'm over it by now. I feel bad for my friend who has never been to DLR and she will miss it but she hates rides that jerk her around so I guess she will be happy after all..
