Matterhorn Bobsleds Refurbishment

Official park schedule calendar shows the Matterhorn OPEN again April 20th!!!!!!
Great news since I'm arriving on the 24th of April, Now just hoping nothing else major shuts down, keep hearing pirates will go down, but I guess I can live without that.

Some people have been told by Guest Services POC is closing April 23rd. At this point, I believe it but only 3 more days until it's on the official calendar...
Our visits will overlap! We're there 4/22 - 4/28.
Rumored that Dumbo will be back up on the 27th.

We're there April 24-27 and I was really disappointed that , WOC, California Screaming AND the Matterhorn would be down. It's our first trip to DLR and I was looking forward to try everything that is different from WDW! I don't really care about POC or Dumbo.

Yeah I hear that too, dumbo is not that special and always seems to have a 60 min wait as it’s popular with the kids. I myself will be having three with me, two which have never been, Least the two older kids can ride the Matterhorn now I will try to get the youngest but she might be an inch away from the requirement.

First trips are so exciting! Hope you have a great time! I'm bummed about CA Screamin', too... Read rumors it may be running or having a soft opening in April but don't put much stock in them.

She needs to wear extra thick soled shoes! ;-)

I do recommend getting the MaxPass it will save you time for sure since you don’t have to go to the ride itself just to get the fastpass, plus if you have park hoppers you can get fastpass for the other park. Of course it also gives you digital copies of photos that are taken on the rides and cast members take as well, so that’s a extra plus.

As for rides being closed it’s just hit and miss sometimes but there will be less people there and the weather is usually great this time of year.

Already planning on getting MaxPass and we have 3-day park hoppers. I try not to be too disappointed about refurbishments or closed areas. At least we'll be able to see PtN, something I wasn't expecting when we booked!

Let´s hope it does not close again on Monday. I remember a year where they had the Matterhorn closed for about four weeks, always from Monday thru Thrusday

April 20th is our last day so I'm glad we will get to ride it during our trip! I love that darn Yeti. :-)

Good luck with that. You will get the usual canned answer.
So true. This is what I received yesterday which does not even make sense because the schedule is already up.
"Regretfully, the information you have requested has yet to be determined. Park Hours, refurbishment schedules and entertainment schedules are determined approximately six weeks in advance. You are invited to contact us again in the near future or visit Disneyland.com for the most up to date information."

Yah, DLR handles seasons and refurbs a but differently than WDW and anyone on a first trip or a "once-in-a-lifetime" trip should pick their dates with great care.
