Mattea Roach on Jeopardy

Her constant hand movements are one reason why I keep hoping for someone, anyone to beat her! And her tongue in her cheek so often too. And things she says like “oh, I should have bet more”, and the way she acts when she gives a wrong answer. She seems like a very nice person, but I just don’t like watching her.

DH and I feel the same way. She seems like she'd be a nice person, but I'll be happy when someone finally beats her.

We are enjoying watching her, and as others have noted- are impressed by her breadth of knowledge. Her comments and gestures don’t bother me. We get a brief blurb about each player at the beginning of each episode, but it’s refreshing to have a player with personality. Love her- hope she keeps winning. And hope Mayim returns soon.

I really like her, and enjoy rooting for her. I'm constantly impressed with her knowledge of everything, but especially American history/politics/geography, etc. She's fun to watch!

Not a fan. Liked her the first few days, but her commentary as the game goes on has gotten annoying. She comes across as cocky. Ready for someone else.

I'm almost to the point of not watching because I find her so off putting. Her ridiculous chatter and hand gestures are so annoying, I can't stand it. Hope she is gone soon. I get tired of every champion after about 7 wins. They either get boring or annoying.

When Ken Jennings was a contestant we stopped watching for several weeks, til some online article I read said he was going to be defeated on an upcoming episode. I like Ken (not as much as Mayim) but even he was boring after awhile.

I will still watch the only person I could not tolerate that bad to where at a certain point I stopped until I heard he was defeated was James. I have not been a fan of most of the long time contestants over the years except for Ken.

Watch occasionally but always wonder how any of the multi-day winners manage to gather so much trivial information on such a wide variety of obscure subjects. Then last night there was a topic on automobiles and none of the contestants could answers the questions on things I thought would be obvious to anyone like "disk/drum brakes" or "electronic ignition vs. carburetor". Maybe that are good with obscure topics but not so good on basic knowledge.

The only contestant I ever found annoying was that guy from LasVegas who seemed arrogant or tried to be funny when he really wasn't.

We love Jeopardy. We find Mattea cute but we think that she is getting bored. We actually think that she tried to lose a couple of times. She does know an incredible amount of information but she is terrible with sports questions. I think those as so easy but I had no idea on the automobile questions last night so I guess we have areas of expertise.

I am impressed by her knowledge also for a young person, but am ready for her to go. DH and I both laughed when no one knew carburetor! He knew the diesel one but I didn't.

I'm happy for her that she's won a good amount to set her off well for her future, but I don't see her lasting much longer. I was glad she admitted she's going to have tough competition in the TOC. The one thing I did find irritating yesterday is her saying "no" after she got a question wrong. I think that would be distracting to the other players who then have a chance to answer.
