Matsu No Ma Lounge for dinner?

According to the Passporter, although it is a cocktail lounge,you could make a meal from a variety of appetizers at the Matsu No Ma Lounge (Japan, Epcot). Just wondering if anyone has ever done that instead of a PS for dinner.

We have. They have great sushi. Last time we had a couple of sushi assortment plates, as well as Miso soup. Plus some Mt. Fuji's! I don't remember what else they have, but it is a great place to eat and relax.

We have as well. The menus are the same as the Tempora Bar. We have had sushi and tempora in there and it is very nice. But dont tell everyone this great secret.

Do they have special non-alcoholic drinks too? DS adores sushi and I do too but we have never tried it here - did not know they had it. I'd love to take him in April and relax with a cocktail and some sushi. But, I don't want him to feel left out - if they have neat frozen stuff he'd love it!!!!

I have done this as well.

Their sushi is of really good quality and it's a very pleasant experience watching the people walk around World Showcase from the windows.

The one tip I might give is to time it either before or after prime dinner time. It can get a bit crowded in the Lounge if either of the other restaurants up there are running behind in seating. My favorite time is an early-ish dinner about 4:00... you'll have the place to yourself and be able to watch Illuminations being setup out on the lagoon.

THANKS SO MUCH!!! We love to just wing it on our trips. DH is a stickler for schedules and hates Disney. So its just me and ds and we have a ball!!! We like nothing better than a late afternoon snack and then dinner at 9:30 after Illuminations. Sounds like a great place to cool off, unwind and talk about the day. We are so fond already of selecting oysters in the gift shop. DS(12) selected 7 during our preChristmas visit and then had our local jeweler here at home make them into a bracelet for my Christmas gift. The folks in the Japan exhibit cannot be more accomodating.
