OK, this just really bugs me because there is no way the Poly ever could have been $385 per night in that time period. Something is off somewhere. But anyhow, I ran the numbers. I used the Poly since that is what was first mentioned.
OK, I’m not sure 100% of your details, but this is what I get when I price the trip. This matches the published rates since last August.
March 21- March 28
Poly Garden view (I didn't know which view, but that was what was closest to your numbers)
- Sat, Mar 21 $ 505.00
- Sun, Mar 22 $ 485.00
- Mon, Mar 23 $ 485.00
- Tue, Mar 24 $ 485.00
- Wed, Mar 25 $ 485.00
- Thu, Mar 26 $ 485.00
- Fri, Mar 27 $ 505.00
Total w/ tax $3864.36
I’m going to assume no dining. Without know exactly how many tickets, what options, and the ages of the people needing tickets, I have to guess. I’m going to guess 2 adults, 1 junior, 1 child. I’m also going to assume hoppers. Regular price this would be $1147.01 Grand total 5011.37
Running this as a package with no discount I get $5015.95 I can’t figure out why there would be a 4.58 difference, but it could be a math error on my part. Running this with the 4/3 deal I get $3295.74 If I subtract out the tickets cost, I get $2187.06 This would be the cost of the room only under the package to compare to the $3864.36 Again, by room only I get for 4 nights at the lower rates $2182, which is $6.06 below the package cost. Again, probably a math error on my part, but it’s in the guests favor. Now, if I run it with the higher nights factored in (since generally the lowest nights are discounted), I get $2228. This is $46 above the room only rate. Now, looking at the average rate per night, it’s $552.05 ($490.71 w/o tax) with tax or $2208.20. Now, this is a little above the rate I get when I take out the ticket cost--$21.14. Again, a win with the guest. That might also be the tax rate since I included it for all 7 days.
Somehow, I just don’t see the fuzzy math.
No gift cards included in this scenario since it has nothing to do with the numbers.
