Hi there. Does anyone know where to actually get some nice, yet inexpensive maternity clothes? This is my first so I am 100% clueless.

I have found the best combination of price and quality at JCPenney online. I always fish around for a code to at least get free shipping, and I can usually get 15% off or something like that too.

Gap and Old Navy both have nice stuff - Gap is pricey but if you look for their clearance stuff you can get good deals.

Congrats!

Check out Once Upon a Child consignment shops. They have a great selection of used mat wear in great condition.

Awesome, thank you soooo much! I googled maternity clothes and places like a pea in a pod or somthing came up and they want like 90.00 for a pair of velour pants! :lmao:

Congratulations!

I got most of my maternity clothes from Old Navy online.

Target has a maternity section.

Also Motherhood Maternity, they have some cute tops and won't break your budget.

I second that. Most of my maternity clothes came from JC Penny online, but I did have a few t's from Old Navy. Someone may have gotten me a couple of tops from Target and I will say that all of my maternity clothes were great! I am a plus-size mom and couldn't buy clothes at the Mimi Maternity type stores. I did just fine and was always comfortable in my clothes.

I bought 90% of my maternity clothes at Target on clearance. You have to search a little since most of their clearance items are all thrown together, but you can get some really great deals there. I got my maternity jeans there for $7.50 a pair last summer. Good luck and congrats!!

Congrats!! What an awesome excuse to go shopping :cool1:

I ditto everyone else on JC Penney and Old Navy. You might also be able to find a Motherhood Maternity at a Prime Outlets location near you to get some good clearance items.

Kohls and Target always worked for me. At Target I also had to look in the womens section, some put the maternity there. I would also try mom to mom sales. I went to one last summer and there were a few women selling for $1 a piece.

Congrats!

I second this! I bought most of my maternity clothes for my last pregnancy from Target and Once Upon A Child. You can actually find the expensive name brands at the consignment shops for a fraction of the price.

Sears has some cute things too and they carry it in the store.

:goodvibes

Another Target and Old Navy girl here.

Also I noticed that my Babies R Us now has maternity clothes. I have no idea of the price but it might be worth a look.

Congrats!

I bought most of mine at Motherhood Maternity. While I liked the stuff at Old Navy and Target, most of it was too casual for me to wear to work.

I really didn't buy much though because I was able to wear my normal clothes until about the 20th week. I had 3 pairs of pants for work and 1 pair of jeans. About 5 tops for work and another 2-3 for around the weekends. Yes, I did get sick of wearing the same stuff over and over, but it was only for a few months. I spent about $200 for all of it.

The one thing I wish I had bought were comfy slip on shoes. I had my son in March and I swelled horribly the last two weeks. I had to wear SLIPPERS to work, I couldn't get anything else on my feet! AT that point all the winter slip ons were packed away at the stores and they only had strappy summer sandals out. It was 30 degrees out and I would have froze. I just didn't realize that my shoes would be an issue!

With my daughter I had gotten clothes from Gap, Old Navy, Target, JC Penny and Motherhood. This time I'm starting my pregnancy about 15 pounds lighter than last time (yay for me!) and in a completely different season so I'm going to need almost all new maternity clothes. SO far I've bought a pair of jeans form the Gap and a shirt, a skirt and a pair of shorts from Old Navy. I got them a few days ago and they all seems to be a great quality, even though the Old Navy stuff is half the price of the Gap.

Ebay has some good ones. Also if you have a motherhood outlet you can get some really discounted clothes! I got $40 shorts there for $3 each when I wass pregnant last year! Of course if your old navy sells maternity clothes the clearance racks there are good.

My DW has had a lot of luck with the sale and clearance racks at Motherhood Maternity. She got a few things from Old Navy, but says the clothes at MM are a lot more comfortable.

I love the tops at Motherhood, but I find some of the pants to be very big, even the size small (especially the jeans). I wear my pre-pregnancy pants unbuttoned and just use the elastic band they sell to hold them in place. They have some very nice clothes though, especially for the workplace. I have also shopped at Old Navy, Target and Kohls.:)

I shopped at Target, Kohl's and Old Navy.
I did invest in 1 pair of really nice black pants from the Gap (they were expensive) but i wore that at least 2x a week so i could justify the cost.

I was going to recommend babystyle.com, but it looks like they are out of business . I agree with others who said find a good consignment shop. Maternity clothes get so little wear (at least mine did) that they often look brand new for a fraction of the cost.
