Material Reward for Losing

My reward for losing weight is going to be a totally new summer wardrobe. DH is going to flip, but I am going to do it. I haven't bought new clothes for at least the past 5 years. If Stacy and Clinton from "What Not to Wear" could see all of my old clothes I would be running around naked. Everything would end up in the dreaded silver trash can. I love that show!

Anyway, is anyone else giving themself a material reward for reaching goal? I almost thought about rewarding myself by going on another WDW trip, but one this year is all we are going to be able to fit in.

I will be buying a brand new pair of Ralph Lauren jeans when I reach goal. They are so expensive, I wouldn't DARE to gain any weight! I rarely spend a lot of money on clothes, so that will give me more incentive to keep in shape.

I have a couple of plans,
1. New clothes to go with some old ones, I was a size 8 or 10 in 2002 before getting pregnant so some of those will still fit, but I'll need to expand a bit since I didn't buy much that year and that was my first year at that weight.

2. This one is still in the planning stages and of course may change with time, but I want a tummy tuck. I am not sure if I will need a mini or a full and I know I'll have to save up for it but this reward I won't give myself for a year after I reach my goal (so I can make sure I'll maintain it), I have major stretch marks and a slight lip due to 2 c-sections both unplanned and both emergency I would LOVE to wear a 2 piece bathing suit again I know this is a major reward but hey, if it isn't good I won't work hard for it!

I got a whole new fall/winter wardrobe this past September and it felt GREAT!!! I even had to buy new shoes 'cause my feet got thinner. I can't even describe what it was like going from a tight size 24 to a 6/8. Dh knows that when our tax return comes in I'll be using it to get new spring/summer clothes! I'm with you all the way Melissa, and I'll see you at the mall! Better yet, I'll see you at WDW with all our new clothes!

As of yesterday my reward is $2.00 towards buying books each time I exercise ( 70 minutes ). It was hard exercising with the constant distractions of a toddler. Tonight she mixed the dogs food with water and dumped it on the kitchen floor while I was on the treadmill. The whole kitchen smells like fishmeal.Today I bought 2004 Unofficial guide and just have to workout 8 more times! Rewards work with my daughter (candy for potty training) and my dog. Why not for me?

New clothes are in my future--DH is popping!! I also have a little "fund" to add to it....I CAN'T WAIT...... Also, I am getting my belly button pierced.

I have 4 rewards set up this year for exercising: 1st Qtr reward is a new toaster oven, 2nd qtr a new swimsuit (so I can add swimming to my summer exercise program) 3rd qtr is new sneakers (enough time to break them in, but not break them down for the 1/2 Marathon) and 4th qtr is a really great looking race ensemble/warm up outfit for the 1/2 marathon.

Now, I will need an entire new wardrobe when I reach goal, but I will have one item that will be a 'splurge' and that will be a really great leather jacket (or two!).

I'm also fortunate enough to be GIVEN a reward when I reach ONEderland, and that's a round trip airline ticket to WDW! Now ain't that nice

My goal is to lose 100 lb by Thanksgiving and if I make it (and I know I will) I'm planning trip to WDW.

To sweeten the pot a client told me that he'll give me a week in his Orlando vacation home if I make it.

I've averaged 5 lb per week over the last 5 weeks, and I'm just not goint to quit!
