Matching Shirts, Millions of Snack Credits, and a Flubby? It must be the Timmerman's

Hey Dis people!!!!!!! You guys have been soooo much help with all of the questions my mom and I have been asking so I thought it would only be fair to write my FIRST EVER TRIP REPORT!!!!!!! This is the "introduction" so I thought it would be nice to introduce the family

First off..... ME!!!!

Once my mom showed me Disboards for the first time... I was addicted! I couldn't stop answering and asking (well mostly asking ) questions. Here are a few of my favorite things about Disney:

Ride: The Tower of Terror
Restaurant: Le Cellier
Park: Hollywood Studios
Disney Character: Tinkerbell & Remy (from Ratatouille)
Disney Movie: Ratatouille
Disney Song: Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious

Secondly, my brother..... DANNY!!!

Most siblings are always fighting but my brother and I get along great!!!!! I'm 13 and he's 9 but he is and always will be my best friend. We both LOVE Disney!! Especially when we go on thrill rides together And to answer what all of you are probably wondering, yes, he is in a pants rack Here are a few of his favorite things:

Ride: Rock n' Roller Coaster
Restaurant: Le Cellier
Park: Hollywood Studios
Disney Character: Dewey & Donald Duck
Disney Movie: The Lion King
Disney Song: Hakuna Matata

Next up is... MY MOM!!!

My mom is also a member on Disboards (she goes by the user name rozac) and she got me TOTALLY addicted We are always the planners of the family and do A LOT of research before any vacation!!! We always have fun together and we are super close!!! Here are her favorite things:

Ride: Soarin'
Restaurant: Teppan Edo & Le Cellier
Park: Epcot & Magic Kingdom
Disney Character: Timon & Pumba & Dory & Mike Wazowski & Gonzo (she can't pick just one )
Disney Movie: Monster's Inc. & Nemo
Disney Song: The Circle of Life

And last but DEFINITELY not least... MY DADDY!!!!!

My Dad is the nicest and funniest person ever!! He's always smiling and making jokes even when he's holding every single piece of luggage that we own Even though his attention span for Disboards is very, VERY short he loves all the good info that we get off of it! He was there the first year it was open and this year he went on three rides that he hasn't been on since. Here are some of his favorite things:

Ride: Soarin' & Tower of Terror
Restaurant: Le Cellier (His favorite meal he ever had in his 48 years)
Park: Epcot
Disney Character: Mickey Mouse & Dory
Disney Movie: Nemo
Disney Song: The Circle of Life

This was our third trip as a family and there was a lot of firsts on this trip: My brother was tall enough to ride all of the rides together, we stayed on Disney property (POFQ), we had the dining plan, and we wore custom-made matching shirts for each of the parks. Also our grandpa, Flubby, joined for the first couple of days. This vacation was so much fun and I can't wait to share it with all of you! I'll start writing tomorrow (hopefully) when we upload all the photos. Untill then!!!

Before we even start this trip report let me just say this vacation almost didn't happen. We had a flight on Friday, the day before Hurricane Irene closed the airports for three days!!!!!! If we hadn't gotten out on Friday we would've lost out on four days of our trip So as you can imagine my brother and I were soooo grateful to even get to Disney.

So the whole day started with waking up at 5am. My parents told us it might be turbulent but we're rollercoaster fans so we wouldn't have cared (my mom on the other hand...) but it turned out being a normal flight.

Here we are at the Orlando International Airport totally excited to start our vacation:

The Magical Express Bus came really quickly. As soon as my brother stepped foot on the bus he said "It has a bathroom?! This is the coolest bus EVER!!!" (the things that makes him happy )

We got to the POFQ and automatically fell in love with it. The fountain, the pool, and the alligators made the resort a fun Mardi Gras getaway!!! The check-in was quick and we all got suited up with some awesome plastic necklaces and made our way to the food court while waiting for our room to be ready. We went to the food court and got our first snack of the trip... BEIGNETS!!!! They were really good! Then we went into the lobby to wait for Flubby (our grandpa) who would be joinng us for the first couple of days of this trip. While my mom checked him in my brother, Flubby, and I decided to check out the gift shop.

My mom and Dad saw us and decided to get in on the action too!

We got the call that the room was ready and decided to check it out. Flubby and our family had seperate rooms but they were in the same building. We helpd him settle into his room first and then went to our room and found this little cutie on the bed:

We then sat our Flubby down and presented him with a present...

MATCHING DISNEY SHIRTS!!!!!!!!!!!!! We made one for each park and they came out so good. Flubby loved them!!! We decided to head to Saratoga Springs because we had reservations at the Turf Club. Before we left my brother had to set up a lizard catcher made up of a jump rope and airplane pretzals and nuts as bait. He just loves catching critters!!!!

We had to take two boats: one to downtown disney and one to Saratoga Springs but Flubby and I enjoyed both of them.

The Turf Club was really good. I got the pot roast, my brother got the surf & turf burger, my grandpa got the pork chops, my dad got the lamb, and my mom got steak and we all really loved it!!!! The desserts were also delicious we got cheesecake, sorbet, and apple cobbler and they were all really good too! Before we left we had to take a family photo!

My brother and dad played a quick game of pool while my grandpa and I watched on the couch and discovered just how tired we really were!! The answer was very!!! While we waited for the boat my brother finally succeded in catching a lizard

The boat ride home was very quiet and filled with Flubby snuggling because we were all totally WIPED!!!

After we got off the boat the Timms are never too tired to take a good photo

After that, we took the boat back to POFQ went to our rooms and quickly fell asleep because we had a big day ahead of us. Tomorrow we would be going to.... MAGIC KINGDOM!!!!!

We woke up pretty early (in order to see rope drop) but we didn't mind because we were SUPER EXCITED!!!! It was going to be the first time we were going to be in a Disney park in FOUR YEARS!! We got out the door, met Flubby, got my dad some coffee, and went to the bus stop. Three minutes after we got to the bus stop the bus came We got there and thought we missed rope drop (It was 9:10) when what do we hear on the loud speaker????? "Rope Drop will be starting in 5 minutes!" I was sooooooooooo happy because I thought we missed it The show was really cute (even if we didn't get picked for family of the day).

We went into the park with our five matching shirts:

Then we stopped and took pictures in front of the beautiful Cinderella Castle

And strolled to Adventure Land:

We rode our first ride of the year... Pirates of the Caribbean!!!!!!!!!! My grandpa loved it but my brother and dad especially loved the gift store:

My grandpa even rode Rocky Mountain Railroad!!

After that we rode some more rides (It's A Small World, Peter Pan's Flight, Whinnie the Pooh, etc.) untill my grandpa was pretty much wiped. We decided to go to one more place before lunch... Mickey's Philharmagic!!! One of my favorite parts of that show is the posters that are hung up in the waiting area. I think they are just sooo cute and adorable!!

While waiting for the show we had a little fun with the 3-D glasses:

My grandpa is blind out of one eye so he usually doesn't see things in 3-D when they're supposed to so he wasn't expecting to see the 3-D here either. But to his surprise he could!!! And he loved it! That is one of my favorite shows at Disney After that we decided to go to lunch at Cosmic Ray's. My grandpa, my mom, and I all got bacon cheeseburgers while my brother got a pizza burger which he loved. My mom didn't like hers and my burger was just alright. What I really loved was the topping station!!! I loaded up my burger with like a pound of pickles (I pickles) and loaded my fries with like a pound of melted cheese. For dessert we all got the chocolate cake (YUMMY!) except for my dad who got the carrot cake (ALSO YUMMY!) My grandpa decided to go back to the resort and rest while us Timm's kept exploring the park but not without getting a mommy daughter picture first:
