Did your wedding rings match or are they totally different. My fiancee wants a celtic band but I just want a simple traditional gold band. Just wanted to get your options.

Our wedding rings match.

We started out with very different tastes, but, it was important to us so we kept talking about ideas until we found something that we both liked--then we had to find a jeweler to make it for us.

nope, no matching here. My ring is platinum and diamonds. His was titanium. I say "was" because he lost it...we think it got sucked up in the vacuum at his mom's house... :headache: LOL We anticipated that though, so we went with the cheap ring for him...

LOL!!!
Ours were almost the same as yours.
Mine platinum and diamond his tungsten carbide.
He's worried about getting it dinged and stuff during work... :)

There's no reason why your rings would have to match. I think they should be something each of you like... not something to make a pretty picture on your wedding day. Our rings are totally different... mine is platinum and his is yellow gold.

We just picked ours out on Sat. and they really don't match. I really wanted them to and tried to keep it close. DF's is going to have white gold with scroll engravings and mine will be either platinum or white gold might have a different engraved design and stones to match my engagement ring. I think the jeweler gave us the best advice... to pick something we each are comfortable with because that means we're more likely to keep wearing them and be happy with them.

My DH used his late father's wedding band and my plain band was made from gold that my MIL smuggled out of Poland(the communists would only let you take x amount of cash out, so she bought gold and had it in her shoes).

So no matchy-matchy here.

Ours dont match either. Mine matches my engagement ring, same band with small inset stones. He talked to the jewellers, when he bought my engagement ring, about his ring, and they suggested tungsten because he is so hard on his hands working and stuff like that, gold would get all messed up. So I got him a tungsten one, on sale two days after thanks giving, got it at about half the price I was expecting to pay, and he loves it and wants to wear it now.

The only reason I would have wanted matching rings would be for the pictures at the wedding of the rings on the pillow, or in some cases in a flower etc.

DH and I just got married on 1/5. Our rings do not match. His is titanium and mine is white gold with channel set diamonds.
