Masters Inn Tampa East- been there?

Please tell me this place isn't a dump! It's in Seffner Florida about 10 miles from Busch Gardens and we'll be there Memorial Day weekend. Since it looks like BF is skipping out (stupid motorcycle ride!) it's just me and kids, 16,16,15, so I want to be sure we don't end up on COPS!

Is this in a decent neighborhood? Is the Inn itself decent? Will I have to shoo the crackhoes away from my car?

If it is the one I'm thinking of it shouldn't be a dump. Never stayed there but used to live in Brandon (near Seffner). I think it is right on I 4. You should be OK.

Thanks Galahad...I was starting to get a little worried! I'm OK going to Disney by myself but this is my first trip outside of the World without BF so I'm feeling a little nervous.

Just for the record...I would not stay at the Masters Inn-Seffner again. When you book online it asks you to specify your preferences...mine were "non-smoking, low floor, quiet room". I got a 2nd floor room facing the pool which said Non-smoking but had cigarette burns on the bedspread and sink.

First impression as I got out of my car was the stench (some kind of treatment plant or something) followed closely by the drunk guy at the pool *****ing out his wife.

My boyfriend told me, "next time don't be so cheap". I will follow his advice when I go to BG in October especially since I'll be by myself with my daughter. (Night#2 a new group of drunks by the pool were eye-balling my daughter hard) I'll just stay at Disney where I feel safer and do the drive.
