Massive thanks for ur support update post 104 24/11/09

So pleased Cam had a good day - and I hope things continue to improve :grouphug:

You have been more than fair with your friend and done more than enough to try and put things right between you. She obviously doesn't want that so it looks like it is time to move on.

Sending healing thoughts your way

Glad Cam had a great day today:goodvibes

Glad your wee one had a good day, and that it makes you all feel better too.

Isnt it amazing how resiliant our children are - just a shame some adults aren't the same.

Your "friend" seems to have her own issues at the moment, and as a complete outsider I would say you need to concentrate on your own family right now and not spare too many thoughts for her. Sometimes friendships come to an end in the hardest of ways, but you need to focus your energies on yourself and your family, not someone who is soo destructive for you right now.
People come into and out of our lives for different reasons, I wouldnt feel bad about cutting of contact - you need to do what is best for you and your family.

Wishing you lots of :wizard::wizard:

I think your friend has been through a terrible ordeal and unfortunately some people lash out when they are grieving. I don't think you will be able to sort things out with her at the moment as you have far too much on your own plate. You were there when she needed you but unfortunately she isn't able to repay you in the same way - we all have strengths and weaknesses and only you can decide if you can forgive her in time.

I'm glad to hear you've had a better day with Cam. I'm thinking of you and your little boy.

Any news yet? Really hoping you get your trip. As a family it's about time you got some good luck. Sending you lots of pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:pixiedust:

Hope the 'good day' of yesterday is continuing.

Sorry about your 'friend' - the fact she is isn't supportive is disappointing but the rest is just plain awful! I'm glad she deleted you as it saves you spending time worrying about whether to or not!

Yesterday was a weird day Cam was still saying he was not in pain but his eye is still slightly swollen but with less discharge than ever !!! I spoke to dh and we both agreed little point trekking him to the hospital unless we really had too so I decided to put him into school and phone the hospital to see if that was ok with them.
The consultant phoned me back and said it was fine and fingers crossed whatever it was that was causing pain has settled with the updated of doses of eyedrops - he said for him to be completly happy with cameron going on a long haul flight he would need him to be stable for 7 days so countdown begins so far we have 1 day under our belt !!! :thumbsup2

Now heres the bit that has messed with my head he then gently dropped it to me that the team has decided that the operation should be put off until the first week in January because me and dh look like we need a break :confused3 i told him less than a week ago he told me for cam to get to xmas and not be in pain would be miracle - his words not mine and he just replied well things change daily with Cam dont take things so to heart :confused3 I told him this was like torture to have a date and trying to live with the what ifs was killing me so to put thta date back by 2 weeks is even worse. His reply was - you get xmas like you requested though  arrrrrrrrgggggggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhh.
I am pleased that we get to have a family christmas and that he has given us the oppurtunity to keep xmas untainted but im also well aware that at the moment im on the verge of going totally insane and the idea of living like this for much longer fills me with dread.
But hey in the words of my so called best friend I should be enjoying this time and have nothing to moan about at all :rolleyes1

Frustrating, I know, but it is out of your hands. I would hope the consultant knows what he is doing. Hopefully Cam's eye is settling down, it should do with all that pixie dust that has been delivered by the truck load.:goodvibes

Try to relax, see if you can all get away on a Disney holiday, fingers crossed, have a fantastic Christmas, then deal with the operation in January.

Thanks Bev i know youre right and im also well aware that nothing they say is set in stone was only days ago we were talking about the possibilty of opening up a theatre for surgery should he need it so I do have faith in the consultant completly!!
Im hoping that a quick trip to disney comes off and that if we get out there we will finally relax and put the past 2 months into perspective and im well aware that we need that more than anything !!
Im very grateful for the years we have had with Cameron -I just want more!!
today we have decided is opearation Christmas tree a bit of family time putting up a tree will guarantee to put a smile on our faces :lovestruc

We are always told Doctors know best even though that puts you more through the wringer. Hopefully Cam will be fine for next few days and you will get the go ahead for Disney and Christmas coming up will keep you all busy.

You can recharge your batteries and have some great family time and ready to tackle what January brings.

Can't think of anything better than having a fun day putting up your Christmas tree.

Still sending you some more :wizard::wizard::wizard:, every little helps:hug:

 That sounds like an excellent idea. It's easy for me to say relax but I do realise it is hard putting it in to practice. I know when I am worried about something I try to put it at the back of my mind till there is no putting off thinking about it and us Mums do continually worry about our kids.

I think going to look for Christmas trees is a really nice thing to do, I think I would try and do all sorts of festive activities just to try and keep my mind off the worries for a while. Hopefully you will get the all clear and go to Disney which would be fantastic, then have your Christmas.

I would feel exactly the same when dates keep moving around because you get all geared up and ready for it, very frustrating but as your consultant says he has to do what he thinks is right for Cam at the right time and it will chop and change around.

I am going to buy my nieces a gingerbread kit house to make up, why don't you get one for your kids to do. Lakeland do them. I know my lads loved doing one when they were little.

Glad to hear that Cam is improving. He is such a little fighter. I'm sure everyone on here is hoping and praying that you manage to get your family holiday. I think we'll all be doing the countdown with you. :goodvibes

Have a great weekend with your family sorting out your tree. Look forward to hearing that your holiday is booked.:grouphug::hug:

I'm glad to hear that things are improving slightly for Cam, and that he has been given the green light for a trip to WDW.

I am sure that the consultant knows what he is doing, and the health and well being of the carers are something that is very important too as you need to be in a frame of mind to look after Cam - know what I mean? You know that we are all here for you too.
