Massive litter in the hub following 4th fireworks

Listen I'm not saying littering is good

I'm saying I give people a pass when they are packed in like sardines like they were there. To the point it's borderline dangerous. Trash is the least of anyone's concerns.

I think the overcrowding in the Hub is dangerous, not the trash

You guys care more about the trash than Disney lol. Disney wants to sell as much junk food as they can. They want the Hub packed. They have staff waiting to clean up the inevitable mess. Of course people should try to throw out their trash, but yes, in a very overcrowded place, dangerously overcrowded at some points, there is going to be trash left behind
Please, Disney is not dangerously crowded. And yes, I've been there when it's shoulder to shoulder, you can't turn around crowded. It wasn't dangerous.
At no time was it an environment where I felt like I or a child with me was in danger of being stampeded.
To that point, I didn't feel like I was in danger from the trash either.
But, doesn't change the fact that people are throwing their crap down instead of in the trash bins. They do it when the place is empty too. What's their excuse then?

We purposely avoid Disney on highly crowded Holidays, not because it is dangerous at all, but rather because of all the people... you know, when we know 100% just how crowded it will be. If someone chooses to go when it is going to be packed, I think that's great. It's all a matter of choice, and what you can and can't handle. If a person can't handle their kids and throwing away their garbage, such as a said kid's dirty diaper, then they really need to rethink going when it is going to be crowded.

They just like to argue.

There are people in this thread creating scenarios where a potato chip bag and winds above 10 mph can end your life.

You're literally talking to air. Don't worry about it.

I was thinking the same thing. For every family that keeps their room neat and tidy, there will be one that will leave food, drinks, wet towels laying around, bringing bugs, mold, etc. Not good. o_O

This is going off topic but my thoughts were the same. When I have had a house cleaner in the past they always charged more for once a month then every two weeks. Every two week and lets them stay on top of the grime and do the job quickly. Once a month they have to spend more time to clean up a month of grunge (I always cleaned in between anyway but understand the reasoning.) I think it will just take much longer to get each room clean after 5-10 days of not being cleaned and increase wear and tear and add to replacement costs.

I understand that reasoning. But daily housekeeping isn't mopping or scrubbing the shower. So it's the same amount of wear and tear.

Silly me, hoping people would have more care and more class than to throw garbage onto the ground.

And serious question. I will be there 11 days late this year. They aren't going to clean he shower the whole time?? 4 showers a day for 11 days...

Spot clean or wipe down. But full clean, it's pretty unlikely. Their focus is making the beds, taking out the trash, and replacing towels. They've got to do everything in the rooms they're turning around, and they've got to get a lot done fast.

Also thinking the same thing.... and then the bugs start infesting the resort!!!!!!!!!!!! :crazy2::crazy2:
I feel like people in general have gotten an "entitlement" attitude, therefore think someone else should clean up after them in the parks then just leave horrible messes everywhere!!! It's disgusting!

I have been in shoulder to shoulder situations at Disney but if I have anything that is trash I hold on to it, or place it on the floor next to me, then pick it up and throw it away on my way out. Depending on how close to the entrance/exit you are, you will probably walk by at least 6 trash cans, there is no excuse for leaving anything on the ground
Agree!!! We always keep 1-2 shopping bags we get from any souvenirs in our backpack/purse to put any trash we have if we ever are in a spot where we can't reach a trash can! That way it's all in one bag and goes in the can on our way out!

You guys must have never worked at a movie theater.

Judging by my experiences there, people think it's acceptable to leave their trash in public places and make giant messes. Dirty diaper? Just shove it under the seat. Not your problem anymore. Gross courtesy cup full of all the spit from your chewing tobacco? I'll let someone else handle that.

OK, you win the ewwww of the day. :crazy2:

I guess I'll bring some of that shower spray stuff. Lol.

I was there on the 3rd and felt like it was dangerous when people were screaming at others to move and stepping on children just to get to where they wanted to go.
