Massive litter in the hub following 4th fireworks

Oh and to the poster who said it is customary to leave garbage at places like movie theaters, not the movie theater I go to. They have large trash cans outside of each theater, plus they station employees with large garbage bags by the exit.

Yeah. Here either. Yes, there are the pigs who leave it behind and we see it. We also see the rest of the crowd walking out with their trash and dumping it in the cans. Us included. "Those people didn't clean up so why should we?!" isn't the way I want to behave.

And serious question. I will be there 11 days late this year. They aren't going to clean he shower the whole time?? 4 showers a day for 11 days...

Nope. When I was at CBR for 11 nights last month, I had to call and ask them to change the sheets on day 8. They never ever got around to even sweeping the dirt from the bathroom floor from the previous guest. It was there when we checked in and out.

There is definitely a mad rush herd mentality. It drives me crazy. When the fireworks end everyone is thinking they need to get out of the park to their car, bus stop, etc ASAP. It's like they drop everything they're doing so they can get the heck out. "Garbage? Who has time for that?!"

We have been to WDW on lots of crowded holidays over the years. It can be hard to get to garbage cans. It doesn't mean you shouldn't clean up after yourself. I have a 2.5 and 1yo and unless there was an emergency like a lost child etc I cannot imagine leaving our garbage behind. Granted, we have a stroller and can just stuff garbage in the bottom until we find a place to dump it. Still. Older kids can hold something. If you have little littles you probably have a stroller. Where there's a will there's a way. If there's no will ... then we end up with garbage on Main Street.

People are always thinking someone else will just clean up their mess because someone usually does. So entitled and so irritating.

Agree with the stroller. We stuff everything in there, til we get to a trash can. There is no excuse for leaving trash around, IMHO. We keep several 13 gallon bags on us at all times, anywhere we go. That goes along with the wipes. Several uses for those besides garbage too, but I like to be prepared for whatever I can imagine. Besides not caring, society is becoming that lazy too. But everyone has their own opinion.

That's disgusting and UNACCEPTABLE for any hotel!!!

I am guessing that it only stayed this disgusting for a short amount of time. A team of custodial cast members would've swooped in as soon as the crowds dispersed enough and the place probably looked as good as new.

If this had been Tokyo Disneyland, it would've never happened at all. They are very respectful of not littering there, and crowds wouldn't even be an excuse. Not true at any other Disney park.
Oh, they were very good! Was cleaned up in minutes

Did you go down and complain? I'm easy going, but I wouldn't walk around in someone else's dirt for 11 nights.

I'm not sure what the current rule is on getting your sheets changed. I know they do not do it every night unless you request it done. I *think* it is every 5 nights, but I'm not positive.

It is unacceptable. I would be calling upon check in to come actually clean my room or give me a clean room.

Please, Disney is not dangerously crowded. And yes, I've been there when it's shoulder to shoulder, you can't turn around crowded. It wasn't dangerous.
At no time was it an environment where I felt like I or a child with me was in danger of being stampeded.
To that point, I didn't feel like I was in danger from the trash either.
But, doesn't change the fact that people are throwing their crap down instead of in the trash bins. They do it when the place is empty too. What's their excuse then?

I was there on a Saturday night in mid December, one of the few non-party nights that week. I think it was the last weekend before APs were blacked out. We were heading out as Wishes was about to start. It's the worst I've ever experienced. My daughter was 12 but we both felt it was unsafe. Crowds just kept surging forward and it felt like we were about to be crushed. If I had trash to get rid of at that point it would have been the least of my worries.
