I went to school in Webster for a while. My parents have lived in Dudley for over 40 years. Also, I used to roller skate with a guy from Douglas-I think he still lives there, but he doesn't roller skate any more.
And although I call it the Centrum, I thought my parents recently told me that it goes by a different name now, maybe because of some new sponsorship.
It's called the DCU Center now. For a time before that it was called the Centrum Centre, which just sounded weird...
Looking forward to out first dvc stay in April - could only get OKW but we are looking forward to it!

I have fond memories of Webster. My grandmother and uncle lived on Hillside Ave for a number of years. My uncle was a sportswriter for the T&G out of the Webster office and covered local Webster sports teams for Bartlett and Nichols and he also umpired Am. Legion ball in town.
As a kid, Webster had the only Dunkin Donuts around and we loved going to visit my grandmother so we could stop and get some. Also, for many years Webster had the only KFC around.
Some of my mis-spent youth was in Webster downing scorpion bowls at Wind Tiki, drinking at Waterfront Mary's, and lightening my wallet at the Fuzzy Grape!![]()
DW grew up over the line in Thompson,CT and went to Webster weekly as a kid.
DW's sister and brother in law also lived in Webster and also on Hillside Ave!
4th of July fireworks at Memorial Beach could be seen from their house and were always worth the visit. And we would go ice fishing with them on occasion at Webster Lake (or for the long version - Lake Chargoggagoggmanchaoggagoggchaubunguhgamaugg!)
Been to many a wedding at Point Breeze and Indian Ranch. And always travel through Webster en route to the Douglas water slides.
Donald is #1, I graduated from college in 1973 (first class of females from WPI for the many other Techies on this board).

I must have missed the history portion of the original post. But we live 20 miles from Provincetown, ( ya know, where the Pilgrims originally landed), and real close to First Encounter Beach where the Pilgrims first encountered native Americans![]()
