Stay off the busses - had a 'free country' argument with a beauty last night who didn't believe in masks for her or her family and she wasn't the only one. More chin straps each day.

Everything we have planned is all located in the MK area so we can walk or boat to get there. We ended up canceling our Disney Springs ADRs because its not worth getting on a bus to get there and back.

I've been here since July 1st. It is changing weekly.

Wow! We arrive August 25th, but I will not start worrying about stuff because as ILoveMyDVC noted, "It is changing weekly." I cannot understand why so many folks refuse taking precautions (masks, vaccinations, etc.) It is a no-brainer for most people I know.

Saddened to hear experts on the local news advise against travel to places with high infection rates (i.e., FL.) In 3 weeks, we are due to go to WDW And Universal. Although 3 of us are fully vaccinated, my 2 granddaughters are not (too young.) Still thinking about going since I know that we'll be diligent about wearing masks, etc. but I am anxious about it.

We are supposed to be there in 2 weeks, with our 3 unvaccinated kids along with another family with 2 unvaccinated kids as well. The news in Florida isn't looking good.

Also, this trip was a hodgepodge of points from 3 different contracts with 3 different UY's so to cancel and try to use all these holding points before they expire would be a mess.

The lumps and bumps of a pandemic. The Spanish Flu went through a similar pattern.

Just maintain social distancing, don't let the kids touch stuff and then their face (this is hard). Keep sanitizing wipes in a gladlock bag for everyone to use often, especially before eating.

I wish Disney still had markers on the ground, but it did make for long lines, although they moved very fast.

My transponder is so old that it says "FastPass" on it.

I didn't realize mine stopped working about 2 weeks ago, until I received a postcard from them telling me my FastPass no longer worked and I needed to upgrade to a new one. The old one was about 20 years old! lol

Hi to my fellow Mass residents, former residents and those just over the border.

We live on the South Shore and have owned DVC since 2002. I loved my former guide Celeste Chaffaut. She was wonderful but retired a few years ago. We own at BCV and SSR. We had vacations planned in 2020, but due to COVID and health issues we had to postpone our trips. Hoping to get back home in 2022.

I’m South Shore and will be down 9/16-9/21 at BWV and PVB with DW and DS. DW will be down with friends 9/29-10/3 and I’ll be down with friends 10/15-10/17 and 12/15-12/19 and we have other family trips in November and January/February. Lots on deck right now, we just got DVC this year and are a bit addicted. Homes are RR, VGF, CCV, and SSV.

Trying not to sweat COVID. DW and I are vaccinated. DS is 3 so he’s obviously not so there’s some worry but kids are lower risk. The 3 of us are actually all getting over colds and I have an awful cough so freaked out and got tested twice and am negative. With the world back open the reality of constantly getting sick with kids has sunk back in but now there’s another layer to worry about every time it happens so that’s fun.

In addition to my upcoming trip (in 9 days: 2 at Riviera; 7 at BLT), DH and I will be at SS 9/28 to 10/5.

Arrived on Aug 25th for 2 nights in a Riviera studio. While it was a tight fit for 5 people, we enjoyed our stay. Had dinner at Topolino's Terrace; I was underwhelmed. (Tried to get breakfast res but wasn't successful. I think we would have enjoyed that menu.) The resort is lovely but we weren't there long enough to enjoy many amenities (didn't even ride the Skyliner!) Moved to a 2 bdrm at Bay Lake Tower (Spectacular! 3 bathrooms for 5 people and lots of room to spread out.) Visited all 4 parks. 3 of the 4 days were wicked hot. Yesterday, we went to EPCOT; primarily walked around World Showcase sampling food offerings during Food & Wine Festival. It was cool, windy and rained off an on all day. Crowds were light. Rode Soarin' 2x without having to leave the ride (just changed rows, from 1 to 3.) It was a mere 10 minute stand-by! Test Track was closed (due to weather) and the boats were not running. After we decided we were too wet (we had ponchos but they didn't keep us dry overall; they just alleviated the soaking we may have experienced.), we headed back to BLT. After drying out, 2 of us walked over to MK (still raining off and on.) Mine Train & Jungle Cruise had the longest wait: 25 mins. Other rides averaged 5 to 10 min stand-by! We went on some of our faves (previous 2 mentioned as well as Pirates, etc.) and returned to BLT (so easy!) This is our last full day here. We have early dinner res. at 'Ohana and tmrw we check out and go to Universal for a couple of days. Weather is back to FL "normal": hot, humid, chance of thunderstorms.
